Set on 3 terraces, La Luna sits in a private and secluded spot overlooking the ancient town of Valldemossa and the lush green valleys beyond. Although small, the cassita offers everything you could possibly need for the perfect holiday - often referred to as 'enchanting and magical'. You enter La Luna down a small flight of stone steps onto the top terrace you have the cassita and covered veranda, with large dining table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining. Down another flight of steps, is the Arbour and brick-built barbecue area. On the lowest terrace you will find the charming pool, outside shower, three sunbeds and wooden decking area - the pool is surrounded by bamboo, offering complete privacy at all times. Stunning views are available from every level.

Changeover day
Friday to Friday unless by special arrangement. Departure by 11am normally required - arrival not before 2pm.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | 1 bedroom with double bed, plus double sofa-bed in the Lounge. Electric radiator and large baskets for storing clothes. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom with wc, walk-in shower and vanity basin with large mirror. |
| Kitchen: | Electric cooker and Hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, filter coffee jug, kettle, sink and drainer plus ample quality china and glass. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge has a double sofa bed and armchair. Coffee tables, antique armoire for additional storage and lovely fireplace. Electric radiator. |
| Other: | Outside large covered veranda with large dining table and 6 chairs plus two additional armchairs. Another table and 4 chairs is situated further out on the top terrace. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bedlinen provided and changed weekly. Guests are required to bring their own towels and leave the cassita clean before departure. Local manager will ensure house clean before arrival. |

Notes on accommodation
As La Luna is built on a series of terraces on the side of a mountain, it is not suitable for young children nor those people with walking difficulties due to the stairs.

Outside
The cassita is set on 3 terraces amid lush gardens. The pool, on the lowest terrace, is totally surrounded by bamboo and hedging for complete privacy. All around the garden are little areas set aside for sitting or relaxing, which is why guests describe it as magical or enchanting.
Coast/Beach
The local beach is at Port Valldemossa about 10 mins drive beyond the town down a very windy mountain road - relatively untouched by commercialism, pebble beach with crystal clear waters. Other good beaches around 20 minutes drive away.
Golf
10 minutes drive to the nearest golf course.
Travel
Palma Airport is 20 minutes drive away. Car Hire probably essential - private parking area provided.
Distances
Valldemossa is a 15 minute walk across the valley, two minutes by car. Palma is about 20 minutes and Deia 15 minutes.
Further details
Despite being on the top tourist destinations on the island, the village has managed to retain its unique charm and is a fabulous place for just watching the world go by. Full of artists and eccentrics it is incredibly special - at night it is virtually deserted and from the cassita the view is equally stunning as it is illuminated against the squid-ink blue sky.

What a wonderful place La Luna is. It is very homely and comfortable and very relaxing. We had a really fabulous time. You may like to know for any future guests that the bus worked really smoothly and we did not feel the lack of a car (but we are walkers!). We used the bus during the week to go to Soller and Deia. It is a haven for walking with many of the tracks starting on the doorstep. We walked from Soller to Deia and then from Deia to Valldemossa.
