Our beautiful and peaceful villa 'La Pereza' looks out across the unspoiled entrance to Mahon harbour and the historic fortification of ‘La Mola’ which for centuries has guarded Menorca’s south-east approaches. Set in large walled gardens with private pool, La Pereza's perfect tranquility is just a 10 minutes drive away from the bustling cobbled streets of old Mahon with its’ breathtaking cathedral and stunning harbour side walks. Nearer to home, the small harbour of Calas Fonts, with its flotilla of traditional small fishing boats boasts a myriad of bars and restaurants and is just a 10 minute stroll away.

Changeover day
High Season Friday. Mid/Low Season Monday/Friday. Please note that departure times from the villa are 10am. The villa is prepared for arrivals by 2pm.

The villa is fully cleaned prior to your arrival and after you leave. Fresh linen is supplied along with bath and hand towels (please bring your own beach towels). During a 2 week let the bed-linen and towels are changed after approximately 7 days. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa has been recently fitted with a new oil-fired heating and hot water system to give year-round comfort. Air conditioning is installed within the main lounge. La Pereza's gardens are fully walled and enclosed and are ideally secure for small children, yet large enough to be an adventure! The villa is professionally managed by our agents in Menorca and fully cleaned and prepared before your arrival with the requisite beds made up. We do ask people not to smoke in the property please.
Accessibility
The property is constructed on 3 levels and therefore unfortunately unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
The villa enjoys a slightly elevated position affording beautiful views towards the southeastern harbour entrance. Positioned centrally within gardens of 1/3rd of an acre and bounded by several acres of natural parkland to the west La Pereza has the feeling of secluded privacy and tranquility and at the same time feels refreshingly open and bright. The private pool is safe for children and elderly alike with its Roman steps entry and large surrounds and there is a further large patio to the east side of the villa for eating and sunbathing.
Coast/Beach
Idyllic sandy beaches and coves abound on this island and many can be reached within 10-30 minutes drive. Es Grau, Alcaufar, Cala’n Porter and Punta Prima are just a few of the many beautiful beaches for all the family to enjoy.
Golf
Son Parc golf course is a 20 minute drive. Mahon Tennis Club is just 10 minutes by car and have floodlit facilities including racquet and hand ball courts.
At S'Algar the Tennis Club have an adjoining bowling green (20 minutes by car).
Travel
Mahon Airport is 15 minutes drive away and for ferry connections to Majorca and the Spanish mainland the terminal in Mahon is just 10 minutes by car or taxi.
A car is definitely to be recommended to really explore the hidden treasures of the island, although for those on foot the local buses are quite reliable (about every 30 minutes into Mahon), while taxis are available in Es Castell, a 10 minute walk away.
Distances
There is a small supermarket 3 minutes walk. Larger 'out of town' supermarkets are 10 mins drive. Bars and restaurants are 2-10 minutes walk away. The drive to the airport takes 15 minutes, Mahon 5 minutes by car and across the island to Cuitadella takes 45 minutes.
Further details
The peaceful urbanisation of Sol del Este is just 10 minutes walk to the small town of Es Castell with its colourful and vibrant small harbour and the first safe mooring point for the traditional small fishing boats which line its walls. With its many restaurants and bars overlooking the water, it's a great place to order a coffee, a meal or simply relax and watch the world go by. From the harbour the two minute walk up into the centre leads to the delightfully open Main Square with its shaded tree-lined avenues. Supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, and shops are all to be found in close proximity as are taxis and regular buses to Mahon.

A non-refundable deposit of 20% is taken upon booking and the balance is due no later than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday.
