This lovely, modern and superbly equipped property is situated on the beautiful and private awarding winning resort of Playas de Fornells which is built around the magnificent bay of Tirant and within the world acclaimed National Park. The entire area is surrounded by pine woods, gentle rolling hills, beaches and dunes. This bijou and traditional resort, although private still has all the amenities to ensure a perfect holiday. Everywhere there are stunning views of the bay and the Mediterranean and is the essence of peace and tranquillity, and you will enjoy spectacular sunsets as well.

Completely flexible with any period bookable from 7 days to 4 weeks.
Departure by 12am and arrival by 6pm (2pm by arrangement). Bar El Bergantin nearby will store bags on departure day if you have a drink! They open at 11am.

Notes on accommodation
If you want to swim in the sea then it is only 40 yards from the apartment but is approached by a convenient ledge over the volcanic rocks. Make sure you bring some jellies for your feet (these can be bought locally). The apartment does not have its own pool but there is a pool (at no charge for our guests) and friendly Spanish bar within 50m. Suitable for children, but the sea is close the terrace, so parental guidance is required on the terrace for young children.
Outside
Lovely gardens. Local apartment hotels allow use of their pool if you buy drinks at the bar. There is a coastal path to Fornells which is fun and takes just over half an hour. There are outside dining facilities for six people plus sun loungers, umbrella and BBQ.
Coast/Beach
Swim and snorkel just steps away from your apartment. Take in the salt air and Mediterranean breezes and lounge around the pool and dine on your private terrace. 10 minute walk to Tirant beach in Playas de Fornells which is next door to Fornells Country Club (this is a sandy beach) with sun beds and some water sports.
Golf
18 hole Son Parc Golf Club, open to non members, is approx 9km or 15 mins by car. Only golf course on island.
Special interest holidays
Scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing and all sort of sports water related are available at Fornells (we have addresses and contacts if you want them). Menorca has many good places to have lunch and dinner (we will be happy to help too).
Travel
It is highly recommended to hire a car to visit the ports of Mahon and Ciudadela, the ancient ruins and pristine beaches that are environmentally protected ensuring the most spectacular scuba diving and snorkeling. The airport is 30 mins away from your apartment. There is a local bus service throughout the island.
Distances
Mahon, the capital is approx 15km away, the fishing village of Fornells is 3km away and Monte Toro with its renowned monastery is 7km away. A short distance away on the cape of Cavalleria are unspoilt virgin beaches where all commercial activities are banned and you are able to enjoy complete peace and tranquillity.
Further details
Close by there are all types of boating and sailing activities as well as boat hire and scuba diving. There is horse riding close by and plenty of fabulous walks through the woods and valleys. The wildlife biosphere is only 30 minutes away as is the beautiful old city of Mahon and the old medieval citadel of Ciutadella. For those who prefer antiquity, Menorca has plenty of historical sites and for those who prefer to be alone there are over 300 beaches to discover. A cash point is located in the nearby village of Fornells, and also in Mercadal. Supermarkets and shops are all available in Playa de Fornells, and within walking distance of our apartment.

25% initial deposit, with balance falling due 8 weeks prior to departure. Keys available from our English / Spanish speaking resident management company, who will assist with any queries and problems. Additional services ie child's cot and high chair available at extra charge, payment directly to management company. Winter lets possible.

About the owner
I have been based in Madrid for the past 30 years, but have traveled a lot around the world. We have spent our holidays during the past 10 years in Menorca, after being in many places and countries, we decided to buy a property 4 years ago as we fall in love with it, the property we rent to you. You will feel like at home, in an outstanding environment difficult to show on pictures. Frank H, one of our guest in 2011 said: "I was a great pleasure staying in your apartment. We really enjoyed it. The weather was good, the view fantastic from the terrasse and the snorkling from the cliffs just great. Lots of space in the house for our family of 6. I don't have any ideas for improvements other than your pictures on the internet. They don't give quite the impression of the magnificent view."

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We really fall in love with Menorca, and was looking for our own property for 2 years, till this opportunity appeared at the end of the 2006 summer. It's so quiet, so fantastic for the kids ... and so close to the sea!.
We have Fornells at 5 minutes by car, the beach 1 mile far (but we never go, as we love to take bath in front of our house), a golf course at 15 minutes.
It is a really unique property, in a protected ecosystem, so the water is full of life - sea urchins, fishes, squids, and so many things you won't believe it!
Unique benefits of the property
Your will benefit from being in a house just 30 meters far from the sea, with direct access to the water; the area is very quiet, safe, and your kids (if you have them) will really enjoy.
Our house has everything you will need during your stay, and our agents will take care of any problem.
If you love diving, water sky, Sailing or WindSurf, Ses Salines (2 minutes from the house by car) is the place to go. Just in front of the property you will be able to do snorkel.
You will be able to enjoy Menorca's cuisine (food is a real pleasure in Menorca - we will send you a document with a few places you must know), and sunsets are outstanding from our terrace.
