Our ground floor apartment which comprises of 2 bedrooms, is situated on a small complex of only 36 apartments, set in its own gardens, with a large shared swimming pool, bar, children's pool and grassed area, ideal for sunbathing. Just a 2 minute walk to all the amenities of Cala’n Porter. The sandy beach can be reached either by foot, a 10 minute walk away, or by a local 'fun train'.

Notes on prices
Prices are quoted for the property per week in UK pounds and are based on the lowest cost of the week in that particular month. Please note all the above prices are for a maximum of 4 persons. £50 charge per week is payable for a 5th person under age of 12.
Changeover day
Changeover day is Friday (but may be flexible dependant on the time of year) You must vacate the property by 10am and can enter after 2pm unless otherwise agreed.

The apartment is cleaned on arrival and the bed linen, towels and tea towels are changed weekly. Beach towels are not included. |
Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms have ceiling fans. The complex is suitable for people of all ages. The apartment is on the ground floor with easy access for pushchairs etc. There is a safe for your valuables. The apartment has a selection of videos, DVDs, X-box with games, books, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Highchairs and travel cots are available for hire (charges on request).

Outside
The apartment has a large balcony with table and 4 chairs that look onto well kept gardens. There is a large shared swimming pool which is well suited to families with children as it has a separate shallow child’s pool. Parasols and sun loungers are also provided. There is also a children’s play area with swings, seesaw, and climbing frame, all within the complex.
Coast/Beach
The beach is within walking distance or can be reached by local 'fun train' or by car as there is a free car parking. The beach is ideal for children. Sunbeds, parasols and pedaloes can be hired for a modest fee. There is also a bar, restaurant and a local shop. The cliff walks are 100 yards. Access to Cales Covas historical caves for swimming and snorkeling without waves and much current in shaded surroundings.
Golf
There is a golf course at Son Park on the North side of the island (approx 30 minutes drive away), that is available to non members.
Travel
Mahon airport is about 10 - 15 mins away. A taxi costs approx 15 - 20 euros or you can hire a car. Car hire is not essential as Cala’n Porter has everything you could want but we would recommend that you hire one for a few days as the Island is so beautiful and well worth seeing. Details on car hire can be given on request.
Distances
Cala'n Porter is 7 miles from the city of Mahon, approx 15 mins drive away. From Mahon there are several buses to all areas of the island. Ciutadella is about a 40 mine drive. Son Parc and Fornells is 30 mins by car. Monte Toro 15 mins drive and Cala Galdana and Mitiana about 20 mins drive. Local bus from Cala'n Porter to San Clemente and Mahon.
Further details
Cala’n Porter has a choice of supermarkets, restaurants, bars and shops. There is a chemist, bank and various other shops. There is nightly entertainment in the resort of Cala’n Porter. It is also home to the famous Cova d'en Xoroi Caves which has amazing views and is a lovely place to have a drink in the day and is a night club at night.

A deposit of 50% is required upon booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival.
