Finca Sa Carrotja is incredibly light and airy with 5 double bedrooms and 4 en-suites. A large covered terrace, with comfortable seating, overlooks the private swimming pool, surrounded by tranquil countryside with distant sea views. The house has a large sittingroom leading to dining room with a 2nd reception area upstairs. It is 5 mins to the nearest beach and within 15 minutes to many other beautiful beaches. It is 45 mins to the glorious city of Palma. There are numerous golf courses nearby and 2 tennis clubs. Horseriding and sailing are both available in the vicinity, as are cycle routes and wonderful coastal and country walks. The house has table-tennis, a pool table, Nintendo Wii, DVD player and Satellite TV. Alternatively, relax on either of the roof terraces and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sun slide gently into the hills. Porto Cristo is 3kms away, with restaurants and cafes overlooking the pretty port and glass-bottomed boat trips, or boats to charter.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. 2 sofa beds are available at an extra cost of £150 each per week. Cots are free unless occupancy is above 10 then the price is £50 per week.
Changeover day
Changover day is usually Saturday, but there is room for flexibility. House is available from 3.00pm on arrival day and must be vacated by 10.00am on departure day.

Notes on accommodation
Sa Carrotja is an ideal house for 2 families. The three upstairs bedrooms each have en-suite bathrooms, roof terraces and the two downstairs bedrooms are inter-communicating and share a brand new luxury bathroom. With the French windows opening onto the garden, it is virtually self-contained. The property is fully centrally heated and equally ideal for outdoor summer living, with the beautiful terrace and garden furniture, and cosy winter evenings with all the indoor amenities. The house is very bright and airy and in excess of 400 sq metres. It is set in the middle of its own private grounds of 14000 sq metres, and offers something for everyone in Mallorca's wonderful east coast.

Accessibility
Whilst Sa Carrotja has not been specially constructed for wheelchair users, there are 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom and 1 guest wc on the ground floor, with direct garden access. However, there is a gravel driveway and entrance, so we leave it to the discretion of wheechair users. We can happily supply more detailed photos of access, on request.
Outside
The grounds are 14000 sq metres, with a private 11 x 5m swimming pool surrounded by 10 adjustable sun-loungers. The large verandah has a dining table and chairs to seat 10, in addition to rattan sofas. There are large umbrellas dotted around, to provide further shade and a barbeque. The house is very child-friendly, with table-tennis, pool table and plenty of scope for games, but we cannot stress highly enough, the importance of constant adult supervision in the vicinity of the swimming pool.
Coast/Beach
The most beautiful, and often unspoilt, beaches in Mallorca, are to be found on the east coast. The nearest two are Playa de Sa Coma and the beach by Porto Cristo marina. Each are only 5 minutes drive from Sa Carrotja. In addition, there are dozens more eg Cala Aubarca, Cala de Sa Font Salada, Cala Mesquida, Playa de Canyamel and Sa Font de Sa Cala. Golf
There are at least 5 golf courses in the vicinity. These are Canyamel Golf, Capdepera Golf, Golf Son Severa, Pula Golf, Reserva Rotana and Vall d'or Golf. More details can be found in the house.
Travel
Palma de Mallorca airport is situated 55 kms away and with the new road from Palma to Manacor, only takes approx. 30 minutes by car. There is a rail service between Palma and Manacor, but we feel car hire is essential to make the most of the area.
Distances
Porto Cristo marina 3kms. Manacor 10kms. Numerous caves, including Caves of Drach 2km.
Further details
Local supermarket 2 mins drive from house. Banks in Porto Cristo. Good shopping in Porto Cristo and the centre of Manacor, which has a church in the square, surrounded by restaurants and cafes.
