Changeover day
Changeover day is Friday. Clients are asked not to expect entry until 2.00pm and to vacate the villa by 10.00am on departure. Occasionally changeover days can be flexible towards the end of the season.

Villa Bute (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4)

The villa opens into the lounge/dining area. To the right is the main bedroom with twin beds and en suite bathroom. The second twin bedroom is to the left and adjacent to it is a toilet and shower room. To the back of the lounge is a fully equipped galley style kitchen which is fully equipped with cooker top and oven, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster coffee percolator and electric kettle. A washing machine is housed in a small casetta to the rear of the property. Hot water is constantly available, supplied by an outside Calor heated boiler.

Villa Ailsa Craig (3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6)

This 3 bedroom villa has a pleasant lounge/dining room leading off to a corridor and a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee percolator, electroc kettle. A washing machine is located in the adjacent pump room. Water is heated by a very efficient calor gas boiler giving a constant supply.

Notes on accommodation
Both villas are fitted with air conditioning units and fans. hairdryers, satellite televisions, DVD players. Villa Bute has a very pleasant paved terrace accessed by a gate from the entrance pathway. At the opposite end are 2 steps leading down to the patio and the swimming pool. Here there is a second gate which means that it is very safe and child friendly.

Outside
The swimming pool is 40 square metres, private, heated in the early and late season and has a pool cover. It is surrounded by paved patio which is furnished with loungers and sunshades.

Coast/Beach
Cala 'n Porter has a very pleasant sandy beach and paved promenade on which are cafes providing snacks and cold drinks. It is within walking distance but takes a little longer on the return journey as it is uphill. For those who prefer to take their car there is plenty of parking space at the beach and there is also a little train which does a circular tour of the beach and the resort.

Golf
Son Parc golf course is about 14km away.

Travel
The villas are about 15 mins from Mahon airport, the only airport on the island. Car hire is readily available but is not essential as there are always plenty of taxis available to meet incoming flights, cost about 20 Euros. There is a regular bus service to the town of Mahon itself.

Distances
The 2 largest towns on the island are Mahon, the capitol, which is about 10km away and Cuitadella the previous capitol at the opposite end of the island. Both have cathedrals of interest, theatres, and museums. They have many pleasant shops, cafes and restaurants and the waterfront at Mahon where there are many yachts and ferries is always interesting.

Further details
Menorca has been designated a site of environmental interest by the EU and so there are many bird sanctuaries, wild flowers and archeological sited to visit.

Booking notes
On booking the villa a deposit of £100 per week is payable. The balance is then due 8 weeks before departure.
