Set back from the beautiful marina of Cala D'or is this stunning and luxurious two bedroom apartment situated in a private residential gated development. Marina D’Or II is a tranquil complex boasting several fresh water freeform pools surrounded by lush tropical gardens and water fountains. It is only a 5 minute walk to one of the many beaches in the area.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is a Saturday but this is flexible out of school holiday/peak season dates. Entry to the property is from 3pm and departure time on the last day is set at 10am this is also flexible.

Notes on accommodation
This fabulous air-conditioned apartment is ideal for families and couples alike who are looking for peace, privacy and yet only a 'stones throw' away from the resort amenities including the many shops, bars, restaurants and not forgetting the famous marina of Cala D'or and the local beaches. A cot including bedding and highchair are provided free of charge should you require them. No pets allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed inside the apartment, only on the outside terrace. Full English Sky Satellite TV package including all movies, children’s channels,news channels and all Sky sports channels. Playstation 2.
The living area is fully fitted with quality leather sofa's, foot stool a lovely circular dining table which is extendable and 4 dining chairs, flat screen TV and soft furnishings. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would possibly require. The bedrooms are also fitted with high quality furniture and furnishings. A car parking space is available for your use.

Accessibility
The apartment is ideally suited for wheelchair and pram access and is suitable for all families.
It is located on the ground floor.

Outside
The private garden and terrace includes outdoor furniture and sun loungers and overlooks the many pools and water features. The garden is south facing, and is in the sun from sunrise to sunset. The gated garden leads onto one of the many swimming pools and sunbathing area's, so it is perfectly safe for young children to play in, while you can relax and enjoy the spanish sunshine. There are nine swimming pools on the complex, and due to the fact it is a residential complex it is never crowded even in the height of the season, so no need to reserve your sunbathing space. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the glorious weather, our garden chairs and sunloungers can be taken to the pool areas. The complex is very spacious and all the landscaped gardens and pool areas are very well kept. We have a selection of children's toys for you to use in the pools, including buckets, spades, inflatable boats, lilo's and water rings.

Coast/Beach
Cala D'Or literally means 'Coves of gold' and here you will find many golden sandy beaches, the nearest being 'D'es Pou beach and 'Cala Egos' beach which are around a 5 minute walk from the property. Cala Mondrago beach is situated in the beautiful National Park and is 15 minutes drive from the apartment. Es Trenc beach is well worth the visit as is Cala Llombards and Cala Salmonia. The undiscovered fishing villages of Cala Figuera, Porto Cristo and Porto Colom are all worth visiting.

Golf
The impressive Val D'Or golf course is only a 10 minute drive away.

Travel
Cala D'Or is located on the South East Coast of the island of Mallorca and the journey time from Palma airport is around 45 minutes. A taxi from outside the airport to the apartment is approx 65 euros. Car hire is available at the airport and in the resort centre, it is recommended to book your car hire before you travel as you will get a better deal via the internet. We can recommend the best car hire companies, please ask for more details. Also please ask about private transfers.

Distances
Palma city is around 1 hour's drive and boasts fabulous shopping! and its cathedral is a must for architect and cultural lovers, it is a truly stunning city.

Further details
A large supermarket is in Cala Egos, as are excellent local restaurants, bars, shops and banks all within a five minute walk of the complex. A children’s activity park is in Cala Egos that has go-karting, mini golf and trampolines. There is a medical centre at the marina which is only a couple of minutes walk away. We have a holiday information book in the apartment listing all
the best local restaurants and information on day trips and the beaches in the surrounding area. Cala D'Or is a chic resort and has 7 sandy beaches lapped by turquoise water. The marina is fast becoming one of the most cosmopolitan in Europe and is surrounded by restaurants and bars. Speed boat trips run daily from the marina and take you to the wonderful beaches this area has to offer. There is also an indoor bowling alley, great for children this is within minutes walk of the property. Tennis courts, Sports Centre with indoor pool are all nearby. A small train takes you around the Cala D'Or area and costs only a few euros each way. Car hire is only necessary if you want to explore this wonderful Island, otherwise everything you would need is within a 5 minute walk from the complex. We can also recommend a baby sitting service while you are on holiday, please just ask for more details. The apartment is fully serviced before your arrival with all clean towels ready for you when you arrive, if you require a mid stay clean this can be arranged for you at a cost depending on how many people there are staying in the apartment, please just ask me and I will supply you with the price if this service is required.
The apartment keys are to be returned back to ourselves by recorded delivery within 5 days of your return home, lost, late return and unreturned keys will be charged at £50.

Booking notes
Bookings will be accepted by telephone or e-mail and confirmed by receipt of a 25% deposit. Balance plus a £100 bond is due 8 weeks before your departure date. Directions including a map showing the route from the airport and arrangements for access to the apartment will be posted to you approx 7 - 10 days prior to your departure date. £100 bond against breakages and damages will be refunded to you upon receipt of a satisfactory report from our resort service team.

Guest comments
We stayed in this apartment with our 4 children. This is the second time we have been to this complex.The apartment is exactly as described, clean and well equipped. It was lovely to have a garden, which is a good size and the patio is large also. There is a shed outside absolutely full with outdoor toys. Owners are very well organised and provided us with plenty of information, both before we went and once we arrived in the apartment where we found lots of info on things to do and practical advice in a folder, which is very useful thing to refer to.
The complex itself is quiet (bliss!) and well maintained, with lots of pools of different depths suitable for everyone. Most days we had a pool to ourselves. Cala D'or Marina is a short walk away, we ate there most nights. The shops of Cala Egos are just down the road everything is on the doorstep, a car is not necessary.
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and will be returning again next year! Thanks Lee and Julie.
