200 year-old village house in centre of the old town of Andratx. Beautifully furnished as our own home with high quality beds and sofas. Sleeping 6 in 3 double bedrooms all with interesting views. Three storeys high with courtyard on the ground floor and 2nd floor roof terrace with views all the way to the mountains and the port. Andratx is a great place to base yourself to explore Mallorca. Palma is only half an hour away via a very good road and is a truly fantastic city. Numerous wonderful restaurants and bars in Port Andratx and other places nearby. Very good clean and sandy beach at St Elm, (7 kms away) where there are also good restaurants. Water beautifully clean. The walking around Andratx is second to none with the added bonus of wonderful flora and fauna. The birdwatching is incredible too. Andratx town has a really fantastic huge weekly market on Wednesdays which fills half the town. Great locally grown produce and clothes, shoes etc etc.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. However, there are no changeovers on Sundays unless the additional costs this would entail are paid for by the client.

| Bathrooms: | Main bedroom has en-suite shower wet room with WC and hand basin. Other 2 bedrooms share a big shower room with large walk-in shower, bidet, WC and hand basin. Both rooms very modern and stylish and newly done. |
| Kitchen: | Modern fully equipped kitchen with electric hob and oven and extractor hood, large fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Marble worksurfaces and lots of storage. Well equipped with good quality china, glass and cutlery. Good selection of pans etc. |
| Utility Room: | No utility room but clothes washing machine in courtyard. |
| Living Rooms: | Very comfortable Sitting room with satellite (Sky) TV, CD player. Large L-shaped sofa and various other chairs and stools. Wood burning stove. Ceiling fan. Original Mallorca artworks and French and English antiques. |
| Other: | Outside courtyard, accessible from both kitchen and sitting room with table and chairs and large umbrella. There is a large walk-in closet off the main bedroom. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
High quality linen and towels are included (White Company, Harrods and John Lewis). The property will be cleaned in between rentals; or more often if required and paid for by the tenant. |
Notes on accommodation
The house was equipped for our own use and was in no way done just for holiday rentals! The furniture is either antique or brand new. The beds are all top quality and the sofa and other occasional furniture is from Harrods, John Lewis or OKA. The kitchen table and stools are from Ligne Roset.
There are original Mallorcan artworks and English and French antiques. The property is all painted white inside with a red theme to the decorations. The top main bedroom has an air-conditioning unit and the other rooms have ceiling fans. The sitting room has a wood burning stove for the winter. Logs provided. Unfortunately the property is not suitable for young children as the stairs are open at the side and very steep.

Accessibility
Unfortunately the property is not suitable for those with limited mobility. The access is narrow and the bedrooms are all up steep stairs.
Outside
There is a pretty outside courtyard with a table and 6 chairs, a large gas BBQ and an umbrella. This is where we eat. It is totally private and quaint. There is also a roof terrace on the 2nd floor with fantastic views over the town, surrounding mountains and distant views down to the Port d'Andratx. It is equipped with two loungers and various director's chairs and umbrellas. There is a wonderful view from sitting up in bed in the main bedroom!
Coast/Beach
The Port d'Andratx is approx 3 miles away. There is a tiny beach there. Cala Llamp is next door to the port where there is a beach club with a pool and swimming off the rocks. Camp do Mar's beach is also about 5 miles away. Sant Elm is 7 miles away where there is a lovely beach with loungers and umbrellas to rent. The water is wonderfully clean at Sant Elm and there is a good selection of cafes and restaurants. There is also a large busy beach at Peguera approx 5 miles away.
Golf
There are many golf courses on Mallorca. The nearest is at Peguera approx 5 miles away.
Travel
Palma airport is approx half an hour away. A car is recommended as there is so much to explore.
Distances
The house is in the centre of Andratx with all the usual services of supermarkets, banks, cafes etc. all within walking distance. There are two or three local restaurants in the town including a particularly good Pizzeria in the main square and a Chinese. It is 3 miles to the Port d'Andratx which has masses of wonderful restaurants, cafes, clubs and bars and good shops and art galleries. The quayside fish market is open every evening for ultra-fresh fish straight off the boats.
Further details
Andratx is a wonderful base for walkers, bird-watchers and those who just want to explore Mallorca. There is a very good and very large weekly market in the town on Wednesdays featuring local produce and a huge variety of stalls selling clothes, shoes, bags etc etc. The beautiful south west coast is easily accessible from Andratx and the drive along the coast up to Deia, Soller etc is a breathtaking experience. Boats may be hired from Pt Andratx to explore the local coast and find secluded bays. Bikes and scooters may be hired in Andratx and Peguera.
Booking notes
To book contact owner. There will be a 50% deposit taken at time of booking, the balance being due four weeks before the start of the holiday. All payments once made are non-refundable unless the house is re-let when a small administration fee will be taken and the rest returned. The Rental Price includes electricity, linen, bath and kitchen towels, logs and barbecue gas.
