Changeover day
Changeover day is recommended for Friday or Monday but can be flexible.
Guests checking in must not arrive at the house before 3pm and guest checking out need to depart the house by 10am. (with possibilty of luggage storage if flight not until later).

Notes on accommodation
All rooms have large ceiling fans, 24 hour wireless internet access, extra blankets and TV points.

Outside
Private Chemical free Pool 12m x 4m with Clearwater automatic PH analysis and control system. High quality hardwood furniture comprising, large table and chairs and comfortable sun beds. Large, state of the art, wood/steel gas mobile Barbeque. Comfortable outside sofas and cushions with coffee table and 2 side tables. The 64sq.m. arched covered terrace provides plenty of shade and immediately in front, the 200 sq.m. lawn leading to the pool, plenty of sunbathing area.

Coast/Beach
Binibeca is the nearest beach and is a 25 minute walk or 7 mins. drive. Cala Alcaufar beach is a 10 mins. drive and ideal for young children.

Golf
Only 18-hole golf course on the island is 30 mins drive from the house.

Special interest holidays
Skippered day sailing trips can be easily arranged as can a bareboat charter. Also the house is on a recognised cycling route and we can organise bike hire and guided rides if required.

Travel
Mahon airport is the only airport on the island and is a 15 minutes drive to the house.
Mahon harbour where the majority of ferries come in is a 10 mins drive.
Ciudadela harbour (other end of the island) is 45 mins away.
A car is essential.
We are happy to assist where possible on any travel arrangements.

Distances
Nearest village is Torret 0.5km, 2 mins drive or 5 mins walk.
Nearest excellent supermarket, Sa Botiga de S'Uestra, is just 1km away and has the best fruit and vegetable on the island.

40% of the booking fee is required at time of booking and the balance 12 weeks in advance.

It is a very lovely house - so big and spacious. We all really enjoyed the large pool and being able to eat every meal outside. We found five tortoises and saw loads of gecos. THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER !! Nina Ridges. 27/05/2011

Really five star house. Have stayed in many villas all round Europe and Les Arcs is probably the best. Great to have separate areas in the garden - kids had room to express sporting genius, while adults had space to sit and chat and read in peace without being in mortal danger from balls. About the owner
I have lived on this enchanted island of Menorca since sailing here from Cornwall in 1983. It was love at first site and the perfect place to bring up my two daughters and start my R.Y.A.Yachting school and charter company. Quite a change from my previous profession of chartered civil engineer. I had long wanted to design and build my own house. It needed to be sympathetic to its rustic location and reflect the Moorish and English influence on Menorcan Country House design. I am very proud of the result and hope that you greatly enjoy staying here. Please treat my house as your home away from home. I manage the house here on Menorca and my daughter Rebecca manages your bookings. We extend a very warm welcome to Les Arcs and will do all we can to ensure your holiday is a memorable one.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
My reasons for buying this particular plot were threefold:- The wonderful peaceful location down the prettiest of olive tree lined country lanes. It is a lovely walk down our lane to Binibeca beach (30 mins) Sant Lluis village is a 15 min walk and the excellent restaurants in the stunning little Hamlet of Torret just 5 mins. The 5 acre grounds giving privacy from neighbours and not an electricity pylon in sight. In short a place of perfect peace.

Unique benefits of the property
One of the main benefits of staying at Les Arcs is that there is plenty of space and activities for the children so is particularily well suited to family holidays. We have over 30 tortoises here, lots of gecos and a great nature trail behind the house. The large chemical free pool, sand beach volley ball court, petanc court and croquet lawn provide plenty of interest for all ages. The pergola, gazebo, swing garden seat and large shaded covered terrace provide lots of tucked away areas for those who just like a quiet read. The result is that there is so much to do at the house that children love it and parents are not under pressure to get to the beach.
