Ranxo, ses Roques, the horse riding ranch situated at the foot of the Traumuntana Range is a 5 mins walk away on the opposite side of the lake. The water park and go-karting are on route to the beach, just minutes away. The beautiful bay of Alcudia has over 5 km of extensive sandy beach providing safe bathing and all the usual beach activities, including sailing, water skiing, wind surfing, paragliding, banana and glass bottom bottom rides and volleyball. 40 mins walk takes you into the ancient town Alcudia which has a fascinating and turbulent history. The Phoenicians and Greeks settled here and the Romans made it their capital in the 2nd century BC. Destroyed by the Vandals in the 6th century it was rebuilt again by the Moors before being liberated by King Jaime I of Spain in the early 1200s. The Spanish sensibly fortified the city; its massive city walls date from this era.

Coast/Beach
Apartment is less than 1 kilometre from Alcudia's fabulous award winning beach. Alcúdia lies at the base of the
peninsula separating the Bays of Pollença and Alcúdia. Local highlights include the nearby ruins of Pollentia, the small amphitheatre, and the remains of the town wall with its 3 gates.

Golf
For the golfers, apart from the 9-hole course at nearby Pollensa, there is the new 18-hole links course at Alcanada, just 5 mins away. There are more excellent uncrowded courses at Canyamel, Capdepera and Son Severa on the north-east coast all around 45 minutes drive and 36 holes at Pula and Son Antem, the new Marriott resort at Llucmayor.

Travel
Alcudia is a 40 mins drive from Palma. Whether you are arriving by a hired car or bus you will be met by a member of the management team who will present you with your welcome pack.

Distances
Alcudia provides easy access to the western mountain ranges where you will find the spectacular gorge at La Colobra, the town and port of Soller and Deia, made famous by the English poet Robert Graves, now home to some of the rich and famous. For the bird and butterfly watchers, Albufera Natural Park is close-by.

A deposit of 500 euros is requested and this reserves the booking and is refundable at the end of the holiday - less any breakages or damages. The full payment for booking is payable on arrival in cash.
