Finca Tranquila, in the sleepy village of Genova, just outside Palma, is set in idyllic, tranquil and lush gardens. The upper floor is beautifully renovated with its own private and secluded roof terrace, all with stunning sea views. It is ideally situated, with something for everyone within easy access. There are numerous beaches close by, old town Palma with its fabulous shopping, culture and vibrant nightlife is just a 5 mins drive (or bus ride!) away, there are 2-3 excellent golf courses within a 5-10 km radius, and the rest of the island with all it has to offer is easily accessible. Genova is famous for its restaurants with more than 15 to choose from, all within pleasant strolling distance. Please note the pool is shared with the owners but your privacy and space will be much respected!

The property is cleaned and linen changed once a week (extra charge of 80 euros).

Outside
There is a large garden with 10m x 5m pool, which is shared with the owners who live below (and will respect your space), and various sitting areas with chairs, tables and sun loungers. There is also a private and secluded roof terrace for guests' own private use with sun loungers, table, chairs. Guests are welcome to use the barbecue.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are about 3km away, but there are many many others in the area, all within about 20 minutes drive. There is a huge choice of beaches, and if you want to go further afield e.g. to the spectacular turquoise seas of the East coast, this is about 1 hour's drive. The famous Es Trenc beach is 30-40 mins drive.

Golf
Finca Tranquila is the ideal base for a golfing holiday. 3 of the island's most prestigious courses are less than a 15 mins drive - Son Vida (the oldest course on the island), Son Muntaner, and Bendinat.
There are more courses available within a further 10 minutes driving distance including Poniente and Santa Ponsa I & II and all the courses on the island are easily accessible for a day's golfing.

Special interest holidays
The owners offer guided walks in various parts of the island for an additional 50 euros per person per day. This includes transport and a picnic lunch.
Walking is one of the best ways to explore this beautiful island, and ideal for those who want to discover parts that most visitors never get to see!

Travel
Palma airport is 15-20 mins drive. Car hire is recommended but not absolutely essential depending on how you plan to spend your time. Local village shops (bakery, 2 small supermarkets, hardware shop), bars/restaurants (plenty to choose from) are walking distance (5-10 mins). The local bus stops 5 mins walk away and will take you to the centre of Palma (10 mins ride) or San Agustin, where there is a large supermarket, banks and more shops (5 mins ride). Taxis: airport, 25 euros or Palma, 7 euros.

Distances
Palma is 5-10 mins drive by car.
Pollensa, Alcudia and Cala D'Or and the beaches on the east coast of the island are approx 1 hour's drive by car.
The glamourous port of Portals is 10 mins drive.

Further details
Although there are plenty of restaurants in the village (famous for its Mallorquin cuisine), there are also a plethora of sophisticated and trendy bars, restaurants, clubs and shows in Palma.
There are several large supermarkets, as well as banks and other shops within a 5-10 mins drive.
There are tennis courts, boating and horse riding facilities nearby.
