Set in the heart of the south/east Mallorcan countryside just outside the quiet village of Calonge' (which has two great restaurants), yet only two miles from the beaches and nightlife of Cala d'Or. Here you will find a haven of peace and tranquillity. Five bedrooms with five ensuite bathrooms, private swimming pool, magnificent gardens set in 5 acres of private estate. Sweep through the electric gates and up the drive to "Se Serra Mitjana", a lovingly restored, vine covered finca, a 200 year old manor house extensively modernised for todays discriminating traveller. Enter through the old oak rustic double front doors into the large lounge which opens up onto the gardens. TV, DVD, satellite TV are provided, a stereo CD is piped thru the downstairs rooms. The outside dining patio is covered/shaded with a grape vine which hangs heavy with fruit in the summer months. In the grounds you will discover almond and lemond groves, pepper and bay leaf trees and a dovecote with 30 white pigeons.

Changeover day
Preferred is Wednesday because it saves on the confusion and congestion of Saturdays at Palma airport, delayed baggage and waiting for rental cars also, it is cheaper and easier to get flights these days.

Notes on accommodation
Wonderful lawns and pool for children, they can also feed the pigeons each day, corn provided. Table tennis is available and use of bikes if wanted.
Outside
Al fresco dining under the grapes, table seats twelve and two other tables seating six each. Chez-lounge chairs dot the lawns and by the swimming pool, afternoon tea at the table under the pepper tree.
Coast/Beach
Sailing boats, water skiing, power boat rentals, wind surfing, snorkeling, tennis, all available in Cala d'Or just minutes away.
Golf
Cala d'Or golf course just five minutes away in S'Horta.
Travel
Car hire recommended from airport or Cal d'Or.
40 minutes drive from Palma Airport. Nice roads.
Distances
1 mile or less to the village of Calonge'. 2 miles to Cala d'Or.
3 miles to Porto Petro fishing village.
Street markets in Felanitx, 7 miles. Santanyi 8 miles. Check with Morag, our house manager for the days they are on.
Porto Cristo (the Caves of Drach) 20 miles up the coast. Worth seeing, but go early.
Further details
Wonderful restaurants everywhere. Lots of fresh fish, good lamb shoulders or suckling pig are the local specialities.
Very good supermarket on the way into Cala d'Or.
