Located in the peaceful village of Betlem with spectacular mountain and sea views. New, tastefully decorated house with fully-fitted kitchen, central heating, and air-conditioning in bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large balcony and sea views. French doors in the dining and kitchen areas open onto a spacious verandah and pretty garden planted with flowering bushes and a fig tree. Large shared pool with a young children's section, and a tennis court. Walk 3 minutes and you are on the coast admiring the beautiful wild scenery. Several other local walks. 2 restaurants in the village. Neighbouring Colonia Sant Pere (3kms), a quiet fishing village, has a good beach next to an attractive seaside promenade where you can have a seafood lunch or dinner and admire the views. It also has a yachting marina, shops and several restaurants. 15 minutes away is the historic hill town of Artá with hermitage, cafes, restaurants and pretty shops. Good golf within 20 mins of the house.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
For long winter lets a discount can be negotiated and we may be able to arrange bookings in neighbouring villas for larger parties.

The master bedroom has king-size double bed and French windows which open onto large terrace with sea views. Second has twin beds and balcony. High sloping ceilings with wooden beams. Modern, quiet air conditioning/heating units fitted. Cot available. |
| Bathrooms: |
Upstairs bathroom has a spectacular view and has a bath, large shower, 2 basins, bidet and WC. Lots of storage space under basins. Downstairs there is an attractive shower room with WC and basin. Natural light and terracotta tiled flooring in both. |
| Kitchen: |
The kitchen is new and fully-equipped with a modern touch-control ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. French doors open onto the verandah and garden. There is also an expresso coffee machine. |
| Utility Room: |
The utility room is equipped with a washing machine, ironing board, iron, clothes-horse, vacuum cleaner and sink.

Downstairs is light spacious and open-plan comprising the living room, dining area (seats 6 easily) and kitchen. Terrcotta tiled floor and French doors to verandah. 2 & 3 seat sofas, armchair, TV and DVD player, mini-system with USB portal. Ceiling fans. |

There are plates, bowls, cups & cutlery for babies and toddlers, with a little stool for reaching the basins or sitting on. In addition we leave a few toys in a drawer for toddlers. |
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: |
All bed-linen and towels provided including beach towels. The house is cleaned for new guests and if you are staying for 2 weeks, is cleaned midway and sheets and towels washed. |
Notes on accommodation
Guests are asked to smoke outside on the balcony and verandah rather than in the house. For very young children and babies we have provided a cot and bedding, plastic cups, plates, bowls and cutlery. It might be possible to arrange to book 1 or 2 of the other houses in this small complex if you are more than one family. Please ask and any such arrangement could be made on an individual basis.

Outside
The house includes a large upstairs balcony and a large verandah with table and chairs for 6. There is also a pretty garden with flowering bushes and a fig tree. There is a large shared swimming pool with a section for young children and a shared tennis court. Private Parking.
Coast/Beach
The sea is 3 minutes' walk from the house. The coastline here is wild rocky 'calas' or coves and there are several pretty coastal walks. There is a good family beach 3km away at the pretty fishing village of Colonia Sant Pere. Within 30 minutes' drive there are a number of good beaches and seaside resorts making easy day trips.
Golf
20 minutes away there are several good golf courses. There are 18-hole courses at Capdepera, Sera de Pula and Son Severa.
Travel
Palma airport - Sant Jordi - is less than an hour's drive approximately 60 kms. Car hire is recommended.
Further details
From April to October you can have wonderful weather and even in February and November you might be in just a t shirt. February is famous for the almond blossoms in the countryside that look like snow.
Betlem has 2 restaurants with bar. The 'Casa Blanca', by a small beach, (4 mins stroll) has magnificant sea views and in the summer they sell freshly baked bread. There are many more good restaurants in the nearby fishing village of Colonia Sant Pere. The promenade along the beach provides a pleasant stroll while you admire the sea or you can have lunch/dinner or a beer/coffee while you watch the world go by. We often go for breakfast and enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, a croissant or 'pan amb oli' (Mallorquin snack of bread with oil & tomato and cheese or ham).
Betlem is well-situated to explore the many other good beaches in the ´calas' along the North and East coasts. We particularly like Cala Mesquida for its turquoise sea.
Artá, is less than 15 minutes' drive and you can stroll around the town or visit the hermitage on the hill. You can also relax in the many cafes and restaurants or enjoy looking at the pretty shops.
Manacor, Mallorca's second town, is only 25 minutes drive and is worth a trip to see the old town and sit in the main square by the church.
Capdepera is worth a visit to see the castle on the hill. Pollenca is also worth a visit and something to eat or drink in the main square. It has a bustling market on Sundays.
Day trips from Betlem take in much of the island. The famous Drach caves are an easy day trip and inland there are small towns and monasteries to see. There is great mountain walking in Mallorca too. Palma is less than an hour and is highly recommended. The old town is lovely and the cathedral quite remarkable. A day shopping and lunch here is also fun. Just outside Palma is the recently built aquarium which is fun for all the family. We had a fabulous time there.
Booking notes
We ask for a 30% non-returnable deposit for each week booked to be paid on confirmation of the booking with the remainder to be paid no later than 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the period you have booked for. We also ask for a 300 euros refundable deposit to cover any damages or breakages.
