No. 24 is a first floor apartment in the Zone 3 area near to the Son Bou resort. The complex has its own cafe and pool bar with a large rectangular communal swimming pool, children's paddling pool, tennis court and children's play area. The popular 'Club San Jaime' centre with waterchutes, restaurant, cafe and supermarket is a short distance away. The Son Bou beach is listed as one of the best on the island. It is only a 5 minute walk away. The surrounding area is unspolit with a green marshland area between the apartment and the beach. Local shops cover for everyone's needs whilst remaining non-commercialised and picturesque. The area is quite and steeped in Menorcan character.

Changeover day
All days are considered, Friday is the most common arrival/departure day. Holidaymakers are expected to vacate the apartment by 10:00 on their last day.

Accessibility
This property is located on the first floor (one set of stairs) - it is not suitable for wheelchair users or for those with walking difficulties.
Outside
The apartment complex is surrounded by beautifully kept landscaped gardens. Car parking is to the right hand side of the apartment. The complex includes a pool bar with a large rectangular swimming pool (the sun beds are free at this pool) children's paddling pool, tennis court and a children's play area. A short distance away is the popular 'Club San Jaime' which is at the centre of the community with a supermarket, shops and another swimming pool with waterchutes, restaurant and pool bar. It is free to use all of the pools in the resort, but there is a charge for using the sun loungers at San Jamie. Son Bou is a bustling area a short walk from the apartment, there are restaurants to suit all tastes, from Chinese buffets to traditional Menorcan fayre, there is a further selection of supermarkets, gift, clothing and perfume shops, bars and cash machines. Next to the shopping area is a childrens mini fayre, with trampolines, rides and inflatable castles. Great for the kids.
Coast/Beach
Son Bou is best known for its long golden sandy beach. San Jaime has grown up around the superb beach which gently shelves into the clear blue Mediterranean Sea. It is perfect for sun bathing, swimming, snorkeling or trying some of the watersports on offer, including pedalo hire and banana boat rides.
Golf
There is currently one golf course on the island of Menorca, at Son Parc to the north of the island, only 20 minutes drive from Son Bou.
Travel
Son Bou is conveniently located, less than half an hour's drive or taxi ride (approx 30 euros) from Mahon Airport, about 4 miles from the historic local town of Alaior and only 12 miles from Mahon, Menorca's capital. A regular bus service to all major parts of the island runs from the resort.
Several car hire companies are located within a few minutes of the apartment. Most of these will allow you to return cars to the airport on your departure.
Distances
Son Bou is on the south coast of Menorca. The distance to Alaior, the local town is 4 miles with Mahon (Mao), Menorca's capital, being 12 miles away. If you enjoy walking, in 2007 the coastal path along to Sant Tomas (1 hour+), then continuing on to Cala Galdana (3 hours+) is being cleared.
Further details
There is a good selection of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants in Son Bou, also a medical centre and chemist, if required.
During the summer season the Club San Jaime offers a variety of free family entertainment in the evenings.
There is also now a new 16 lane 10-pin bowling alley/amusement centre located amongst the main shopping area.
