Coast/Beach
5 mins drive from beautiful Son Parc beach with restaurant/bar, first aid and life guard (high season) - almost any other beach on the island can be reached within a 45 mins drive. Nearby there is horse riding and of course there is the usual range of beach activities - swimming, snorkeling, pedalo hire, etc.
Golf
The apartment is right by the golf course which now has a full 18 holes. We have a discount card giving 20% off course and club hire (and many shops as well). There is a set of golf clubs in the utility room.
Tennis also available. Club has a shop and a restaurant/bar with Internet connection.

Travel
Mahon airport is 30 mins drive away (2½ hour flight from UK airports). Mahon and Ciutadella are car ferry ports to mainland Spain. Car hire strongly recommended, though there are local buses (bus stop 3 minutes away) and taxis.
Distances
Mahon (capital) 30 mins away; Es Mercadal (market town)and Mount Torro (with convent, gift shop and views across to Mallorca!) 15 mins drive; Fornells (magnificent harbour and superb restaurants) 15 mins drive; Ciutadella (old capital) 40 mins drive. Almost everywhere on the island can be reached within an hour. Many interesting prehistoric settlements and burial places.
Further details
Shops, supermarkets and restaurants in Son Parc and (5 mins drive) Fornells (superb restaurants often with very cheap Menu of the Day - typically 5 courses for less than £10). More in Es Mercadal (market town) and Arenal (15 min drive) which also have Telebanco money machines. Peaceful in main season (May-October) and quiet the rest of the time. Slow pace of life - the siesta is strictly followed by most shops! Look out for local festivals with prancing horses!
