Detached villa in quiet location. Large plot with private pool (8m x 4m), roof terrace, large barbecue area and covered patio. Completely refurbished for 2006. At the end of a private drive. 15 minutes walk to the beach. Cala'n Porter has plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. One of the supermarkets will deliver shopping for free. There is a cash machine and a pharmacist in the centre of the resort, by the square. Many of the bars provide evening entertainment such as pub quizzes and tribute singers. The capital Mahon is around 30 minutes drive. The old captial of Ciutadella is around 45 minutes drive.

Accessibility
The villa and patio is flat, although there is a step over through the double patio doors into the lounge. The hallway door maybe too narrow for large wheelchairs. Outside the villa, there is a ramp from the gravel drive to the patio. The pool is beside the gravel drive, with a little step up onto the pool area. The drive from the main road to the villa is a bit uneven and on an incline, so might be unsuitable for pushing adult wheelchairs, but electric chairs and childrens buggies will be okay

15 minutes walk to the beach.
Golf
There is a golf course at Son Parc, approximately 25km / 35 minutes drive.
Travel
Nearest airport is Mahon (MAH) and is about 20 minutes drive. A taxi will be about 20 Euros for 4 passengers. Flights are around 2 1/2 hours from the UK. There are regular buses to the capital Mahon where connections can be made to other resorts. But car hire is recommended for exploring the island.

Booking notes
20% deposit for booking. A £50 breakages deposit to be paid with the final balance this will be returned after inspection by the management company.

‘This wonderfully furnished villa is superbly located in a quiet part of the resort. The pool deck is ideal for lounging from sun-up to sun-set. The kitchen has all the facilities of home including a dishwasher and washing machine, gas cooker, hob and microwave oven. You can enjoy a hot shower at all times thanks to the gas boiler which provides hot water on demand (a must when there are 10 of you staying!!) a 10 minute leisurely walk gets you right to the heart of Cala en Porter and the beach. Why the owner chose a home in this location
I originally purchased the villa with the intention of living there in 2003. This was after 3 holidays to Menorca and loved the place. The island isn't as noisy as the other Balearic islands with no hassles from sales people. Great place for couples and families.
