Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds (based on 4 sharing). There is an additional charge for an occupancy greater than 4 people of £25 per week for each additional person ie. 6 people would pay an additional £50 per week.
Changeover day
Changeover day for 2011 remains Friday. Guests are asked to vacate the apartment by 10.00am on day of departure to allow cleaning prior to giving access to next tenants at 12.00 midday. A courtesy shower/luggage locker are available at our local agents.

Notes on accommodation
Cots, high chairs, food packs, etc can be prebooked or hired locally from our Management Agent. A swimming pool is available to guests 5 mins walk at the Mirador restaurant. Guests can also use some hotel pools at the discretion of hotel management.
All rooms are fitted with a ceiling or wall mounted fan.
Accessibility
Please note that there are quite a lot of steps down to the apartment from the road and also from the apartment down to the beach - okay for buggies/pushchairs but not for wheelchairs
Outside
The apartment is set in terraced gardens - viewed from both the kitchen and second bedroom. The patio has a table, six chairs and an umbrella, 4 sunloungers and a BBQ. There are beach chairs for guests to use and a small quantity of beach toys. There is a swimming pool nearby (5 mins walk) which guests can use free of charge. Sun loungers and umbrellas can be hired on the beach.
Coast/Beach
Steps from the apartment passing through terraced gardens lead down to beach (4mins approx). The safe, sandy beach, shelving gradually, is ideal for swimming, snorkelling and beach games.
Golf
Son Parc golf course 10 mins by car.
Travel
Mahon airport is approximately 17 kms from the apartment. Car hire is recommended to explore the island and its places of interest. There are regular bus services to and from the airport to the bus station at Mahon and also from there to and from Arenal d'en Castell. Taxi services are readily available at the airport as well as at Arenal d'en Castell. The bus stop and taxi rank are about 10m from the top of the steps leading to the apartment!
Distances
You can walk to the fishing village of Na Macaret (30 mins approx) and the resort of Son Parc (40 mins approx). There are regular bus services to capital of Mahon and also to the fishing port of Fornells - famous for lobster. Local taxi services are available. Organised coach excursions are available. The island is easily explored by car.
Further details
Leisure activities are seasonably available in the resort including tennis, mini golf, scuba diving, snorkelling, water pedaloes, motor boats, fishing. Sailing and wind-surfing are available in Fornells, golf in Son Parc. Childrens' discos/entertainment is available in the hotels up to approximately 9pm where adult entertainment continues from 9pm to midnight. No music is allowed after midnight. Bars stay open until later but there are no nightclubs. The resort is well suited for families with young children. Ther is a good selection of shops, snack bars, supermarkets, a bank (inc ATM), bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk.
Menorca offers some ideal walking paths in the cooler months of April, May, September and October. Maps and guides are available in the apartment. Car hire is recommended to reach the start of walks.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required to confirm a booking with the balance required 8 weeks prior to departure. The deposit is not refundable less than 8 weeks prior to departure nor are any monies 4 weeks or less prior to departure.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Alan originally discovered Arenal and its wonderful beach and had no problem in persuading other family members to invest in a property. Our mixture of small children to some now adults have fond memories of building the largest sandcastle in the world, jumping the waves and snorkeling for the first time. As teenagers they don't remember the nightclubs only the lack of them! We all love Menorca for different reasons. Bill loves swimming before breakfast, Anne likes wall to wall sunshine, Linda likes walking in the cooler months, Alan and Jane just "chill out" with/without the kids but we are all agreed that the view from the apartment is spectacular and when the beach is empty its all yours! Menorca has a beauty all of its own and brings you back every year to discover something new.
Unique benefits of the property
Approximately 80 steps from the road down to the apartment and about the same going on down to the beach gives both convenience and privacy/quiet.
