A rustic stone cottage nestled in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains and surrounded by the beautiful valley around Fornalutx. This spacious, simply furnished cottage offers wonderful views of the village itself and the surrounding valleys, mountains and stunning sunsets.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 is cooler and cozy.
Bedroom 2 is a bedloft in the spacious studio living room.
Both feature en-suite bathrooms, wardrobes, beamed ceilings, rustic tiled floors, large wood burning firplaces, electric oil heaters.
Bathrooms: 2 bathrooms. One with bath/shower, toilet, basin. The other with shower, basin and toilet. Both en-suite to the bedrooms and featuring beamed ceilings, rustic floor and wall tiles and electric oil floor heaters.
Kitchen: Large open-plan kitchen/dining room that leads directly onto the upper terrace with it's stunning mountain views. This room features a high beamed ceiling, large open fire and chimney, terracotta floor, large ceiling fan, windows with wonderful views.
Living Rooms: Spacious, airy living room (also bedroom 2/bed-loft) with high beamed ceiling, rustic tiled floor, beautiful large wood burning fireplace, library area, large ceiling fan, French shuttered doors with wonderful mountain views that lead onto lower terrace.
Other: House features two parking bays. Two terraces at the house. Both terraces very private with stunning panoramas, including full view of Puig Major, Mallorca's highest mountain. Upper terrace features many potted plants, BBQ, shaded dining area.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
A cleaning charge of 100 euros is to be paid in cash upon arrival to the property manager when the keys are collected. Freshly laundered towels and linen are provided at the start of your visit. Please bring your own beach towels.

 

Notes on accommodation
We have CD and DVD players so please bring a selection of your favourite films and music.

Outside
The cottage is set in 4 acres of its own rugged land with olive terraces, fruit and almond trees and small pine forests and leads directly to the torrenta (river) at the bottom of the land. It also has two terraces at the house. Both these terraces are very private with stunning panoramas, including a full view of Puig Major, the highest mountain in Mallorca. The upper terrace features lots of potted plants, a shaded dining area (which leads directly from the kitchen) a hammock, Weber BBQ, table, chairs, outside shower (perfect for cooling off on long, hot summer days!) The views from here are truly spectacular. It really is the perfect spot for listening to the gentle tinkling of sheep bells whilst meditating upon life and the world as you unwind and watch the mountains turn from orange to red to purple as the sun slowly sets upon the Tramuntana range. Both terraces also have small safety fences for child safety. The lower terrace is more rustic, rugged and shaded with trees.

Coast/Beach
There are several choices when it comes to accessible beaches. It all depends upon your preferences. The picturesque fishing village of Port de Soller is approximately 5km (15 minute drive) from Fornalutx and features two sandy beaches at either end of its wonderful circular bay. The Repic is the quieter of the two but both beaches are close to delicious cafes, restaurants and bars plus plenty of shops selling local produce. There are plenty of activities available too including windsurfing etc

Travel
Palma de Mallorca is the nearest airport. Yes, car hire is recommended. You can hire at the airport.

Distances
The cottage is a 10-15 minute walk above Fornalutx village square. A short drive (15-20 mins) to the town square of Soller and a slightly longer drive (40 mins) to the heart of the city of Palma. The nearest beach is a 15 minute drive to Porto Soller.

Booking notes
A non-refundable booking deposit of 25% is payable by electronic transfer to a UK bank upon reservation.
The remaining balance within 1 month prior to occupancy commencement date.
Directions to the property and key arrangements are supplied when balance of payment received. Price includes gas and electricity.
A cleaning charge of 100 euros to be paid in cash upon arrival when picking up the house keys.
The house is provided with freshly laundered towelling and bedding for the duration.
