Villa Rosa is a modern detached villa, located in Calan Porter which is one of the oldest and most established holiday resorts on the Island. It's a comfortable modern villa with one double and one twin bedroom. The living area is open plan with 2 sections, the lounge area with stereo (with the connection for you to play your Ipod through the stereo's speakers), TV & DVD (we have the basic freeview channels, but please feel free to bring your own Sky card with you to access other channels, always remembering to take it home with you of course!!), and the dining area. Both the bathroom and kitchen are newly fitted. The large sun terrace and pool area are located at the rear of the property and are for the sole use of guests. Travel cot and high chair are provided free of charge.

Changeover day
Our changeover day is Friday, but we can be flexible in off peak months, i.e. April, May and October. With all rentals Villa Rosa will be available on your day of arrival from 2pm and we ask that you vacate the villa by 10am on your day of departure.

| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Both bedrooms have bedside tables and fitted wardrobes, with fitted safety deposit box in the wardrobe in the double bedroom. |
| Bathrooms: | Fully fitted bathroom with bath, shower, hand basin, WC, bidet and shaving point. |
| Kitchen: | Fully fitted kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and cafetiere. A full selection of kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided. |
| Utility Room: | Washing machine, ironing board and iron. |
| Living Rooms: | The living area has the lounge with 2 comfortable leather sofas, coffee table, TV, DVD and stereo. There are over 100 CDs and DVDs provided along with a selection of table games. The second section is the dining area with dining room table and chairs. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The villa is cleaned before each let. All bed linens, bath and hand towels and tea towels are provided for you, although we do ask guests to bring their own beach towels. For bookings of more than one week, linens will be changed during your stay. |

Accessibility
The villa is all on one level, the only steps are into the swimming pool.
Outside
The main feature of the large patio terrace is the private swimming pool which is located at the back of the villa. It's Roman in style and has corner steps that lead into the pool. The terrace is secluded and offers relaxing sun loungers along with outside dining table, chairs and a large umbrella.
Coast/Beach
Calan Porter beach, with its professional lifeguards, is a safe, secluded, coved bay with crystal clear turquoise waters offering safe bathing and swimming for all ages, and where sun beds and pedaloes are available for hire. There are a few shops and beach bars close by. The beach is an easy 25 minute walk from the villa. Alternatively there is a payable road train that goes around the resort or it's only a few mins drive by car with free parking facilities nearby.
Golf
There is an 18 hole golf course located in Son Parc, approximately 40 minutes drive away, where you will also find the customary 19th hole as well!
Travel
All flights go to Mahon (Mao) airport which is a 20 min drive from the villa. There is a taxi rank at the airport. Car hire is not essential, but recommended to enjoy all of the delights that Menorca has to offer. Please contact us for specially discounted rates through our preferred car hire company. In Calan Porter there is a taxi rank and a regular bus service to the next village Sant Climent and the capital Mahon.
Distances
The villa is within easy walking distance to the centre of Calan Porter. The lovely village of Sant Climent is a 10 minute drive away and offers a further range of shops including butcher, chemist, bakers, tobacconist and an old fashioned English sweet shop, along with more banks, bars and restaurants. The capital Mahon is a 20 minute drive away and offers a wide range of boutiques, perfume shops, shoe shops and the famous Gin factory. Craft market in Mahon twice a week (Sat and Tues).

The resort of Calan Porter is the oldest holiday resort on Menorca and has plenty to offer the holidaymaker. Within the resort there are over 20 bars and restaurants offering variety for all the family. In the bars you will find nightly or weekly evening entertainment and major sporting events are shown, some offer internet access. There are a number of supermarkets which stock everything you will need for your holiday and offering free delivery. There is also a chemist, hairdressers, souvenir shops and money exchange facilities in the resort. Calan Porter is a safe resort for those with young children, but offers sufficient nightlife for teenagers and the young at heart. It is also home to the famous Cova d'en Xoroi, a bar with stunning sea views by day and a disco by night. Menorca itself has over 100 beaches, some more accessible than others! But with the aid of a good map and guide book you can find some of the more secluded ones frequented by the locals. For history and nature lovers there is the nature reserve at S'Albufera, near Es Grau, and prehistoric monuments are dotted all over the Island. You can take a trip to Monte Toro, which is a hilltop convent in the centre of the Island with amazing views or visit one of the Fort's - La Mola, Marlborough or Sant Felip which are steeped in the Island's military history. The capital Mahon is a shoppers delight with a variety of goods on offer and lovely old cobbled streets to walk around. You can take a boat trip around the harbour or enjoy drinks and tapas in one of the many harbour front bars. Menorca is the quieter of The Balearic Islands and offers something for everyone.
Booking notes
To secure all bookings we recure 20% deposit within one week of your initial reservation. Full balance payments are required 8 weeks prior to commencement of your holiday. All cheques are made payable to Angela Smith. We do not take a security deposit as we operate an honesty policy for any damages or breakages.
