The Pool !

Our house is large and spacious from the 'chill-out' room in the tower and entrance to the terrace on the roof, down the large spiral staircase to the 1st floor with all the bedrooms, 2 double rooms (1 with en-suite), 1 with twin beds and 1 child's room with bed and sofabed, bathrooms and balcony, to the living areas on the ground floor with access to the gardens and pool, terraces and barbeque area. We have put in our house everything a family with children would want to find in a holiday let, so there are Videos, DVDs, a Playstation2 plus 2 controllers, CDs, books and games for the children, always assuming they get out of the pool occasionally. The village of Santa Gertrudis is a 5 minute gentle stroll out of the front gate and the bars and restaurants are great, and very child-friendly. The village is right in the centre of the island so nowhere is far to get to, the nearest beach, Benirras (also one of the best), is 20 minutes by car on the north coast.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Additionally there is also a security deposit of 750 Euros which is payable to the Agent on arrival and which will be returned when you leave, always assuming there is no damage, etc.
Changeover day
Our preferred changeover day is Saturday especially in the high season although we can be flexible with this in the spring and Autumn.

Towels and linen provided, changed weekly and cleaned once a week. We also have 2 travel cots, a high chair for young babies, plastic plates, cups and knives and forks for young children and even a 'potty'. |
Notes on accommodation
There is no air-conditioning but it is not necessary, the house is cool even in the hottest summer. The central heating is fine and works well.
As well as the travel cots and high chair we have plastic plates and cutlery for small children and even a potty for thos of you brave enough to be potty training whilst on holiday!

Accessibility
We have not had any alterations done to the property but all the access dorrs are wide and should accommodate wheelchair access if required. The staircase is wide but there are no bedrooms on the ground floor.
Outside
Large secluded and enclosed garden all round the house with garden furniture, barbeque area, 8 metres by 3 metre private pool, dining table and plenty of chairs & sunbeds on terrace/patio. The garden is safe for children and the property has a security fence all round for additional security and peace of mind.
Coast/Beach
Beaches are only reachable by car, or bus. The nearest, and one of the best, is Benirras on the north coast, about 20 minutes by car. A great place with bars and restaurants and very child-friendly. Listen out for the bongo players on a sunday evening in the summer.
Golf
Ibiza does have one golf course situated about 5 miles away. Everyone who has stayed at the house and played golf there has enjoyed the course.
Travel
Ibiza Town is 15 minutes by car away (15 kms) and the airport is another 10 minutes the other side of Ibiza Town.To see the beautiful island you will need a car or, if you have great patience, you could take a bus!
Distances
We have quite a few wedding parties staying at the house. The distances to the 2 main churches who conduct weddings for non-locals are, San Raphael 6/7 kilometres (15/20 minutes max by car on new road) Santa Eulalia 7/8 kilometres (20/25 minutes max by new road). The church at Sant Augustin is quite a bit further away on the other side of San Jose which is a good 40 minutes away, on a good day but well worth it when you get there.
Further details
Santa Gertrudis has a wide range of restaurants and bars and the overall standard is very good with three being excellent. There are two banks and three supermarkets as well as newsagents and even an Internet cafe. The village is very child-friendly and has a brand-new child's play park. For people who have been to Santa Gertrudis before the main square and street has now been pedestrianised completely which adds to the child-friendly feel.

Please contact me first to establish availability and to confirm the price. We will then send you a contract and the first 50% of the fee will be immediately payable (within 7 days). The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of your holiday.
All payments will be made in GB Pounds to our bank in the UK unless you are elsewhere in Europe and have a Euro Account. In this case we will give you details of our Spanish Bank Account at the time of booking the house.
