Privately owned, lovely ground floor apartment with superb views of the Mediterranean from the terrace. Equipped to a very high standard. Set in a well kept lawned garden in a peaceful relaxing area of the private Playas de Fornells complex on the beautiful rugged North coast. You can take a walk across the headland to Fornells with its array of shops, restaurants and bars where you can while away a few hours just sitting on the waterfron watching the small boats and the windsurfers in the bay. The beach is a 5 minute drive or a leisurely 25 minute stroll away.

Notes on prices
Prices are per the property (not per person) in UK pounds.
Any other currency please add £10 per booking. A non refundable deposit of 25% is required and the balance due payable 8 weeks before start of your holiday. Cancellation refunds: 4-8 weeks - 50% of cost refunded. 2-4 weeks - 25% of cost refunded. Less than 2 weeks - no refund.

Changeover day
Booking is Friday to Friday but July and August is more flexible, but please check with us first.
Entry time is 2.00pm and exit please by 10.00am. Our managing agents try to be flexible if you have a late or early flight, but it is at their discretion.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: One bedroom.with double bed, Built in louvre door wardrobe with plenty of hanging space small drawer unit. Bedside tables with drawer and space for books etc. Bedside lights. Alarm clock should you require it. Large wall mirror with small drawered table.
Bathrooms: Large tiled bathroom with full size bath with shower over, toilet hand basin and bidet. Two bathroom cabinets. Washing machine and tumble dryer.
Kitchen: Well equipped. Full size electric cooker with 4 gas rings. Large fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker. Plentiful supply of pots/pans, containers, plates, cups etc and cutlery. There is also a safe. Dining area with table and 4 chairs.
Living Rooms: Open plan with menorcan fireplace. Settee that converts to 2 single beds, easy chair. CD/radio. Satellite TV,DVD. Selection of CDs, DVDs and books. Double doors open onto the terrace which is equipped with a patio table and 4 chairs.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Bed linen and towels provided (not beach towels). Changed weekly. Property cleaned before and after booking by our reliable managing agents. For any problems/queries you may have our managing agents are available 24 hours a day.

Notes on accommodation
Well equipped, furnished and decorated. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and a portable fan for warm evenings. Should the evenings be a bit chilly there is also a oil filled radiator. The property is on the ground floor therefore suitable for children. There is ample parking a few steps from the apartment. The apartment is non smoking but please feel free to smoke on the terrace.

Outside
Terrace with patio table and 4 chairs. Superb views across the bay to the lighthouse at Cap Cavalleria, the northern most part of the island. One large pool with grassed area round, and another pool with childrens area.

Coast/Beach
The property overlooks the sea, but the nearest beaches are Tirant and Cavalleria both with a wide expanse of golden sand. Tirant being the nearest and in 2 sections the smallest being accessible from the complex, whilst the larger is accessed by a short walk over the rocks around a small rocky headland. The far end of the beach can also be reached by car after a 10-15 minute drive via the Cavalleria Road. There are said to be over 300 beaches on the island some only reached by boat.

Golf
Playas de Fornells is only about a 15 minute drive (approximately 10kms) away from the well know Golf Course at Son Parc which is an 18 whole championship quality course, and is suitable for beginners and experienced golfers.

Travel
Mahon is the island's airport and is approximately a 25 minute drive. The town of Mahon is about 30 minutes away.
There is a bus service from the complex to many places of interes/beaches on the island. Cuitadella the old capital is about a 40 minute drive away.

Distances
Fornells is a 5 minute drive away and is renowed for its fish restaurants. There is also a bank and cashpoint. You can also walk over the headland to Fornells and this takes about 40 minutes. Mercadal has more banks and cashpoints and shops and is approximately a 10 minute drive away. Car hire is not essential but we do recommend it, it also greatly enhances your holiday.

Further details
Playas de Fornells has a couple of well stocked supermarkets, bars and restaurants. You will also be able to hire a bike or car on the complex.
If you are after peace, quite and relaxation, this is the place to go if you want nightclubs and rowdy bars, you are in the wrong place.

Booking notes
We require a 25% deposit at time of booking. Please check up to date availability by email or telephone before booking any flights. The final balance is due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.
Our managing agents operate a transfer service for those not wish to hire a car. Please advise us when you pay your final balance if you need this service.
