A 4 bedroom detached villa situated at Son Parc on the north west of the island. A beautiful pine clad area with the wide shallow beach of Saura. All watersports are available on the beach only 15 mins walk through the pines to the beach from the villa or 4 mins in the car. The golf course surrounds this area and the clubhouse with tennis courts is 5 mins away. Temporary membership available and clubs can be hired.A compact villa with bedrooms off the main rooms it has all the facilities you could want for a wonderful family holiday. Sleeping up to 8 in 2 double/2 twin bedrooms. En-suite master bedroom. Sitting room, dining room, large kitchen, cooker and dishwasher. The garden has glorious colourful flowers and plants and the big heated swimming pool leads from the house. The villa is in a quiet location yet only 15 mins walk to bars restaurants and shops. Notes on accommodation
Pool heating at an extra of £80 per week. Pool man comes twice a week. Inside the villa is all one level and there are fans in all the bedrooms and sitting room. There are 2 outside showers by pool and back door.
Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchairs or infirm due to steps down to pool and some steps around the entrance to the villa.
Outside
Lovely garden laid to shrubs, cacti and flowers with small raised water feature that attracts the local birds like the Hoopee! Terracing and balustrade overlooking the pool with outside tables chairs sunloungers and canopy. Barbeque.
The villa is not overlooked as the back of the villa is a pine wood and the front drops away down the hill with other villas hidden in the trees. There is a parking area for your car up into the small drive. The villa is in a quiet cul-de-sac street of other exclusive villas. If you want a walk to the coastal path behind the villa wear good shoes and cut across some shrub area behind the villa you will come across the high cliffs of the sea and views to Arenal de Castell. About 1/4 of a mile.
Coast/Beach
Son Parc beach is wide and so shallow and safe with golden sandunes. Restaurants are close by. The lovely horseshoe bay of Arenal Castell is a short drive away with a lively atmosphere and buzz. The lovely fishing village of Fornells with harbour and restaurants is close by and a great place for an evening meal with boats bobbing in the pretty bay and lights reflecting in the water. There is a sailing club in the Fornells Bay and more restaurants in this area. There are also beautiful coves.
Golf
Son Parc Golf Clubhouse 5 minutes away. 18 hole course.
This had 9 holes and was extended to 18 3 years ago and is establishing itself.
Special interest holidays
Due to this villa being in the quiet wooded area of the island
with hills and valleys birdwatching and enjoying nature is a must! And what to see ! Booted eagles Egyptian vultures
singing nightingales Sardinian warblers beautiful beeeaters etc etc and all on a truly beautiful island.
Then there is the abundance of historical sites Roman villas
with mosaic tiled floors prehistoric monuments caves etc
Menorca is the island people fall in love with...the one they go back to year after year, the island where they go to retire.
And no wonder Menorca has something special magical. It truly is a gem!
Travel
Mahon airport 25 mins away. A car is a must and driving is really no problem once you remember to look left at roudabouts! The island is small only 30 miles by 12. There are no moutains only low hills to the north with Mont Toro in the centre of the island. With a central highway running through to the two main towns Ciutadella and Mahon (or Mao) Roads then branch off to resorts, coves, white beaches and isolated farms. So many it's hard to chose which ones to visit, all so lovely.

Further details
The highest part of Menorca, El Toro is close by with a restaurant and great views of the whole of the island.
Pretty bays are everywhere.

About the owner
We are from the lovely county of Shropshire and have
views over towards the hills of Wales. Our farm
has the river Severn winding through its fields but like
most farming folk work is always around us 24/7 and
to have place abroad is a real bolt hole to unwind,
get some sun - which Britain seem to lack these days -
and take time out with friends who usually accompany
us. They somtimes though get roped in to help
with the odd painting or varnishing job and have even been known to get gardening but somehow it is not
work on such a lovely island - more fun in the sun!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We chose Son Parc in Menorca as we loved the beautiful unspoilt coastline of the north side and the charming location of our villa set in a forested area yet near the islands golf course. The villa is also fairly central to the island meaning we can get to the airport in 20 minutes and pretty much anywhere else in a short time. The quiet villa has a lovely garden and the pool can be heated for those cooler May and September October months. The island provides a host of amazing turquoise coves and sandy beaches and is a top location for bird watching, something we have become addicted to since hearing and then finding and photographing the amazing bee eaters singing, nightingales, vultures, oh and so much more! It truly is a gem of an island and not many people know that!
