In a little valley, accessed by a private road, you will find C'an Baixo, a traditional stone farmhouse, standing in 5 acres surrounded by fruit trees, terraces and hillsides and with fabulous views. Here you will find peace and tranquility but not total isolation. The Studio and House will not be rented out separately at the same time thus ensuring complete privacy. There is a small chance that we may use the house if only the Studio is rented but it is still very private as the Studio has it's own drive, car parking, entrance and terrace. Studio not available as a single unit during UK summer school holidays.

1 Bedroom with king size bed in the minstrel's gallery. Bathroom with full bath and shower over, sink, WC. No hairdryer. Kitchen area with dining table, open to living area. Gas hob, electric oven and a large fridge/freezer. Good inventory including cool box/ice packs/picnic set. Living room with wood burning stove. Huge windows overlooking the ornamental pond and wooded hillside. TV with video/dvd player. Radio/CD player. Cleaning, change linens and towels weekly.

Bedroom 1: Upper level. Master suite. Enormous. King size bed. Living area with sofas. 2 terraces with lovely views. Bathroom with large bath, 2 vanity sinks, walk in shower, bidet, wc. No hairdryer.

Bed 2: Lower level. Double bed. Doors open onto a small covered terrace with seating.

Bed 3: Lower level. Double bed. Fairly small room.
bathroom: Lower level. Shower, sink, wc.

Livingroom: Ground level. Large open plan. Sofa seating for 7 including a double sofabed. Wood burning stove. TV with basic SKY, video/dvd player. There is also a high quality cd/cassette player. Can atatch ipod, but no dock. Dining table.

Conservatory: Opens onto living room. Comfy seating for 7 plus large dining table. Stunning views.

Kitchen: large, farmhouse type. New double ovens, gas top. Tall fridge freezer. Microwave. Washing machine. Great inventory. 2 sinks. Fabulous view, but dishwasher to be installed January 2012.

 

Notes on accommodation
Although in total the HOUSE has 3 double bedrooms and a sofabed, we prefer a maximum of 7 people. All linens, towels, including beach towels are provided.
Cleaning, change linens/towels every week, but can be more often at extra charge. Travel cot and high chair available. Sorry, no pets allowed.

Accessibility
Due to the number of open terraces on the property it is not suitable for toddlers or the infirm.

Outside
Swimming pool 20ft (max) x 15ft (max) wide. Depth ranges from 2ft to 5ft 6". Chairs and loungers. Operational 1st April to 31st October.

Studio: A covered terrace with dining table/ 4 chairs. BBQ.

House: Cobblestone courtyard with garage parking. Covered area with built in BBQ, tables and chairs. Large stone terrace with dining table/chairs, bbq. Stunning views down the valley. Master bedroom suite has 2 terraces with lovely views.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach, Port Soller, is 1.5km. 5 minutes drive.

Travel
Palma Airport is 30km (30 minutes) away.
We highly recommend car hire is, but have had afew guests who have been quite happy without. There is a train/bus from Palma and taxi ranks in Soiller and Port Soller. The roads are quite narrow so we recommend nothing too large. Our local representative meets our guests in Soller and shows them to the house.

Further details
There are many walks in the area including an easy 30 minute walk from the house over the wooded hillside to Port Soller, where the tram can take you into the lovely market town of Soller or drop you nearer the house! Professional walking guides can be arranged by our representative in Soller. Other activities available in Port Soller are tennis, sailing, kayaking and wind surfing. The very pretty village of Fornalutx is also only max. 10 minutes drive away.

A 20% non refundable deposit is required on booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival.

Just a note to say, wow! We never expected to be staying in such a beautiful house, and the location is wonderful. We have stayed in 4 other villas around Soller and this was by far the best. The valley location is wonderful - great views, rural and peaceful yet only a 5 minute drive to either the port or Soller - we even managed to walk over the hill into the port in 20 minutes!
