Encantada means 'Delighted' or 'Delightful', which is the usual reaction of guests when they see the stunning location of this privately owned 4 double bedroom Villa (also available at 3 bed prices). Set on it's own on the cliff at the edge of Cala en Porter, this Villa enjoys some wonderful views combined with peace and quiet. The villa is surrounded by various terraces with a lawned area, private pool and a high wall which gives plenty of privacy. Sunbeds with parasols and a dining table with large parasol are available together with a brick built Bar B Q and good size roof terrace.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Friday. Arrival time 2pm. Departure time 10am.
Notes on accommodation
Bed linen and towels are changed weekly.
The villa's wonderful location is on the edge of a cliff. There are walls surrounding the property, but extra care and vigilance should be taken with children.
Outside
The garden is maturing with Bourgainville, Hibiscus, Cactus and many other colourful plants establishing themselves. Outside lights are available for after dark together with a spotlight for around the pool area and an underwater light in the pool. The pool has a shallow end of approx 1.0 meter with the deep end at approx 1.70, and is approx 8.0m x 4.0m in a kidney shape with steps down to the shallow end.
Coast/Beach
10-15 minutes walk to the large sandy cove. Considered one of the best on the island. The sand shelves gently into the sea and is ideal for children.
Good snorkeling is available along the rocks on both sides of the bay with some good fishing spots on the left side. (A rod is available in the villa to borrow should you wish)

There is a golf course at Son Parc (Tel (0034) 9711 888 75).
Travel
Mahon airport is 15 minutes drive away.
Car hire is readily available.

Further details
There is plenty to do both day and night in Cala en Porter and the island. Car hire is of course available as are taxis and buses from the town centre. There is also a road train which stops near the villa every hour or so and goes around the town to the centre and the beach and back again. Otherwise the Villa is a 10-15 minute walk to the centre and beach. There is a wide choice of bars and restaurants in Cala en Porter including typically spanish bars such as Bar Pons. Tennis is available behind the Salamander restaurant with a choice of several good supermarkets. Further afield, Mahon the capital is well worth a visit with it's beautiful harbour as is Ciutadella, the old capital. Alaior is a very spanish town situated about 8 miles from Cala en Porter with some interesting shops and architecture. Numerous beautiful sandy beaches and coves to visit, some of which are empty. The snorkelling is very good on menorca with crystal clear water and a good variety of fish to see. There is also boat hire available at Mahon harbour as well as Scuba diving at Salgar. Highly recommended is the trotting races every saturday evening at the velodrome in San Luis just outside Mahon. A great evening out.
