Notes on accommodation
Central heating by oil, air conditioning in most rooms and great family home with fabulous views. All energy costs included in weekly price. Secure accommodation and electric gates - safe for children of all ages. Adults must supervise all children near the pool or on the roof terrace. Good access for wheelchairs
Accessibility
Bedroom 4 (twin beds & air conditioning) and a bathroom are on the ground floor. The first floor and roof terrace are only accessible via the stairs.
Outside
Private gardens with mature trees and palms plus many shrubs, which are all fully lit in the evenings. Built-in BBQ and covered dining terrace with table, 6 chairs and awnings to provide shade. Sun loungers around pool. Patio doors to deck and unheated pool 10m x 4m. Covered clothes drying area.
Coast/Beach
There are 2 beautiful beaches within 2 mins walk, both sandy, sheltered coves with beach bars.
Within 10 mins drive are 5 more sandy beaches, providing ample space for sun-worshippers!
All beaches are suitable for children and safe for swimming.
Glass-bottomed boats take you right around the coast. Less than two miles to the beaches of Cala D'Or.
Regular road-train service from the door to all beaches and facilities in the locality, including the fabulous Cala Mondrago beaches.
Golf
The beautiful Vall D'Or golf course is an easy 10 min drive. This is an 18 hole course with excellent fairways and greens. It has some stunning sea views. The clubhouse is very well equipped with a large bar / restaurant area and lovely big sun terrace overlooking the course, with the sea behind. It is the perfect setting for a relaxing drink after your round. Club hire, trolley & buggy hire are available. There is also a shop, driving range and putting green. The course is open 12 months of the year. Booking is advisable during the busier months. The Calonge Gold Club is about a 15 minute drive.
Special interest holidays
Apart from golf there are many other activities to enjoy in Mallorca - especially out of the peak summer months. If you have an interest in golf, cycling, walking, birdwatching the apartment is available to rent all year round and will provide a very comfortable base for you to stay.
The famous Cuevas del Drach (Dragon's Caves), with their mile of stunning caverns and underground lake, are close by and well worth a visit.
A trip to Palma to see the magnificent Cathedral and the train to Soller with breath-taking mountain views are all worth visiting.
Travel
45 minute drive from Palma airport (29 miles). Taxi can be arranged.
Distances
Location, location, location! 2 mins to the beach. 5 mins to Cala Egos shopping centre, 2km to Cala D'Or Marina with all its fabulous restaurants and shops and less than 3km to Cala D'Or centre, nightlife and beaches. Cala Mondrago beach and nature reserve are about 4 miles. Road-train available to many destinations. Waterpark 40 mins drive. Caves of Drach 30 mins drive. San Salvador monastry 20 mins drive. The markets in Santanyi and Felantix can be reached with a 20 min drive.
Further details
There are a full selection of useful shops (supermarkets, clothing, gifts, duty-free, car & bike rental, internet cafe, banks and ATM machines) and a taxi rank in Cala Egos centre (500 yards/metres).
Many bars, restaurants, entertainment, children's interests and other facilities within easy walking distance (500 yards/metres). Lots more in Cala D'Or!
