Es Forn Vell was, until our refurbishment, the village bakery. Lovingly restored in November 2005. Situated in the historic heart of the village. Tastefully furnished, four storeys with wonderful views of the square and towards the mountains. Excellent feedback available on request.

Changeover day
We are flexible re changeover days. Arrival time is after 2pm; departure at 10am.

Kitchen: Brand new, traditional kitchen with hob, fridge, kettle, toaster etc.
Utility Room: Iron, ironing board
Living Rooms: Contemporary entrada / living room, beautifully furnished with interesting pieces collected on our travels. Traditional kitchen/dining area is light and airy, perfect for summer mornings. Principal bedroom is simply furnished, antique wrought iron bed.
Other: Rooms are all linked with original worn stone stair wells, complete with antique doors. Top level reading room is idyllic; with day beds, large skylight and the mountains above.

Notes on accommodation
We have heaters on all levels for the winter months (it's very cosy) and fans for the summer if needed.

Coast/Beach
Pretty beach (Platja d'en Repic) in Puerto Soller, only 10 mins by car, loungers etc available. The Port is lovely at sunset with a handful of good restaurants.

Travel
Palma is only 30 mins by car. Car hire is recommended but we have had many happy, relaxing times without.

Distances
Walking opportunities are endless; as Fornalutx is perched in the heart of the Tramuntana mountains, yet is less than 10 mins from the beach and port in Soller. Palma, Deia and Valdemossa all 30 mins. Pollensa 1 hr.

Further details
There are several good restaurants in the village, which cater to all tastes, many boasting fabulous views. Bars and cafes also serve great tapas throughout the day. The village shop is extremely well stocked, with local produce.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and the remainder 6 weeks prior to arrival.

About the owner
We are a well travelled young family from England. We have been visiting the island for many years and finally decided to buy somewhere in our most favourite village back in 2005. It was a total renovation and we're thrilled with the results! We love to travel all around the world but return year after year to this beautiful place for the views, the light and the wonderful people.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
This is the only place for us in Mallorca! The views are breathtaking and we were captivated from the start. It's also so easy to get to.

We love the proximity to the plaza which is the heart of the village and still feels very Mallorquin.
