Spacious, quiet, 2 bedroom (sleeps 4), apartment in luxury development, with good sized private pool, gated parking, located on the waterfront of Mahon's Port, 5 minutes from the Yacht Club and its Casino. The apartment enjoys full sun all day, overlooks the pool which is shared with some 30 other apartments, and is very quiet and peaceful at night. But step through the front door and immediately you find a wide selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, and yachts moored all along the quay. The apartment itself is airy, bright and spacious, recently built, but in traditional Spanish style, with fully tiled floors. The attractively furnished large living rooms have French windows opening on to the balcony. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, and has its own private patio for drying clothes. The 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds which can be pushed together or apart as required, and the bathroom is large, modern and attractivly tiled, and has a bath and shower.

Changeover day
The changeover day is Friday. Guests are expected to pack up by 10 am to allow the cleaners to prepare for the next arrivals. The apartment is usually available from 4 pm onwards.

Outside
The apartment faces an attractive semi circle which contains the tree shaded car park, and the pool which is enclosed by a hedge ensuring privacy and a fence for security and exclusive use. You will be provided with a key for this.
Coast/Beach
A wide number of attractive beaches are within 15 minutes drive from Mahon, Mezquita, Es Grau, Alcaufar, Punta Prima to name but a few.
Golf
There is a well maintained 9 hole golf course.
Special interest holidays
Menorca Sailing School 20 minutes away at Fornells has an excellent reputation, and offers a full range of sailing courses and tuition. Scuba diving is fully catered for. Menorca is one of Unesco's specially designated Biosphere Reserves, and is a magnet for walking holidays, birdlovers and naturalists all year round.
Travel
Mahon airport, 10 minutes by car is well served brom many UK airports. There is a ferry from Barcelona several times a week - Trasmediterranea, and daily ferrys to Majorca. Many visitors find that for a 2 week holiday they only need a car for 1 week to explore the island - often the 2nd week, and the first week they explore Mahon on foot.
Distances
Mahon is a compact town easily explored on foot, and everything within 20 minutes walk. Mahon central bus station has frequent services to all the other towns on the island and many of the beaches. The whole island is fringed with attractive small beaches, and Ciutadella the historic capital is only 40 minutes drive away.
Further details
Food shopping is an easy and enjoyable experience at the covered market in Mahon, which has a supermarket on the lower floor. Leather goods, shoes and bags are of very high quality and produced locally, as is costume jewellery and cheeses. There are numerous fiestas through the Summer months, as well as a classical music festival.
Booking notes
A booking is confirmed when I received the deposit, half the rental. The remainder of the rental fee is payable one month before the start of the holiday, whereupon I will send you the keys and full instructions.
