Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. The apartment will be available from 2.00pm on day of arrival except Saturday when its 6.00pm. It must be vacated by 11.00am on day of departure.

Golf
Never thought of golfing in Austria? Me neither until I bought a 5 day ticket for 260 euros.
What a surprise, a choice of a 44 courses is included in the 3 or 5 day pass. We played in May and despite there being snow on the surrounding mountains it was 32 degrees so we teed off early and had the most enjoyable time ever. Some of the courses were walkable some definitely needed an electric cart (extra 26 euros) The most memorable hole was at Radstadt where you rode a gondala lift to reach the tee then it was just a pitching wedge down onto the green. We found Goldegg the toughest challenge mainly because we couldn't hit the damn ball straight on some of the tight fairways. All the courses had superb lightning fast greens and not many straight putts. The fairways were also in great nick and springy to walk on. We didn't encounter any snobbery whatsoever, indeed it was really friendly atmosphere.
There are 10 golf courses within 30km of Alpendorf, the nearest being 13km away at Goldegg.

Skiing
There`s a gondola and a chair lift situated 100m from the apartment. The ski area includes 97km of manicured slopes to suit a variety of abilities as well as off piste and a snowboard park. St Johann/Alpendorf is linked to the colossal ski area of Amade, with over 860km of slopes linked by 270 lifts so there is no shortage of terrain to try out. There are 3 ski schools and hire shops within 100m of the apartment. Summer skiing is possible at Kaprun on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier 30km away.Ski Amadé is a vast, undiscovered ski playground and only a short drive from Salzburg airport. All of the areas are massive in their own right - Grossarltal, Schladming-Dachstein Tauern, Gastein and Hochkonigs Winterreich. It is impossible to ski them all but you can have a go.

Travel
Salzburg airport is 45km away, Ryanair tend to offer the best deals. Alpendorf is easily accessible by road. Car hire is available at the airport. St Johann is also accessible by train and bus from Salzburg. There is a bus stop 50m from the apartment for access to other resorts.

Salzburg city centre 55km. Werfen ice caves 21km. Spas at Bad. Hofgastein 31km. Vienna 360km. Munich 190km. Venice 400km. Prague 440km.

Further details
There is a Spar convenience shop below the apartment, Many restaurants and bars in the village. St Johann has a good variety of shops, more bars, restaurants, discos, bank, and a supermarket. Leisure activities available in the village/town include saunas, massage, swimming, squash, tennis, hiking trails, ice skating, horsedrawn sleigh rides and tobogganing.

Booking notes
A 30% deposit is required on booking. The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival.
Payment in Euros is required direct to our Austrian bank account. Currency transfer costs (if any) are payable by the customer.
