This new modern chalet is suitable for a large family or two small families, with a spacious living area, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. The living room opens out onto a patio area with a magnificent view of the mountains. The same view is enjoyed from the upstairs balconies on the master bedroom and another bedroom. Underfloor heating throughout, with thermostats in each room, provides for comfortable living. Parking is underground, where there is also a ski locker available for occupants. Zellermoos is located on the outskirts of Zell am See, and can be reached by a small commuter train that stops close by and also services the golf course 300 m away. It is also close to Zell am See airport, for those that want to fly into Zell am See directly in a light aircraft.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday. Other days would be considered, but Sundays are difficult because the cleaning cannot be done on that day.

Golf
Zell am See Golf Course is only 300 metres away, and is serviced by the commuter train that stops in Zellermoos, or is walking distance.
Skiing
Zell am See is located in one of Europe's largest and most varied ski areas. It includes the Kaprun ski area, which is only 4 km away from the chalet, and the 3000 metre Kitzsteinhorn glacier, where you can ski all year round. Also the Saalbach/Hilterglem ski area is 15 mins drive away. The nearest ski lift from the chalet is 500 metres away, and can be reached by a path (15 mins walk), commuter train (stop within 50 metres), and the free ski bus (stop within 100 metres). There is a locker room next to the underground parking for storing skis and snowboards.
Special interest holidays
During the summer, Zell am See lake, which is only 2 km from the chalet, is popular for sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing and boating. The nearby mountains provide many other outdoor activities in the summer including mountain biking, walking, paragliding and white-water rafting. For aviation enthusiasts, Zell am See airport has a 900 metre paved runway for light aircraft, with low parking charges.
Travel
Salzburg is the nearest commercial airport from Zell am See, which, along with the City, is about one hour's drive from the chalet.
Distances
The chalet is about 2km from the centre of Zell am See, and 4km from Kaprun. Salzburg is around 100 km and is accessable by train and coach.
Further details
Zell am See is a typical Austrian town and has plenty to do for skiers and non-skiers alike, with many quaint shops, restaurants, clubs and pubs. Within an hour's drive there is Salzburg, and further a field Vienna, Innsbruck and Munich, all within 3 hours.
Booking notes
Please contact the owners for bookings. A 20% deposit is required on booking, with balance 2 months prior to arrival. In addition, a £300 security deposit is required, which will be returned after departure, less any damage.
Zell am See Council charges 1.15 Euros per person (over the age of 15) per night which needs to be paid to Alpen Apartments or will be deducted from the Security Deposit.

My wife and I founded and run a software company in the UK, which has been established over 30 years. We have 4 grown up 'kids' and 1 grandchild, and have spent many memorable family get-togethers at the chalet in Zell am See.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We love skiing and wanted a place which was very family oriented. Also, the summers are lovely in Zell am See, and the town has its own little airport which I have flown into in a light aircraft. Although not golfers, there is a super golf course just a few hundred mtrs up the road.
Unique benefits of the property
The chalet is very convenient to shops and restaurants, and is also close to the ski lifts, which can be walked to or there is a free ski-bus and a commuter train that are both within 100 mtrs.
