2 bedrooms each with Austrian double bed, 2 shower rooms, kitchen/diner/living room. Kitchen has full oven/hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Satellite TV (mainly German/Austrian channels) and DVD. Good size south facing balcony with views towards the local ski slopes.

Apartment 3 (Sleeps 2/4, 1 Bedroom)

1 bedroom with Austrian double bed, large bath/shower room. Kitchen with large dining area and separate living room with pull down double bed. Kitchen has full oven/hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, kettle and coffee maker. Satellite TV (mainly German/Austrian channels) and DVD. Good size south facing balcony with views towards the local ski slopes.

Apartment 4 (Sleeps 4/6, 2 Bedroom)

1 bedroom with Austrian double bed. 1 bedroom with twin beds. 1 shower room, 1 bathroom. Large Kitchen / diner living room with bed settee (sleeps 2). Kitchen has full oven/hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Satellite TV (mainly German / Austrian channels) and DVD. Good size south facing balcony with views towards the local ski slopes.

Outside
The apartments are set back away from the main road but still within easy walking distance of the village centre and the local outdoor pool is only 2 minutes walk away. Large well stocked garden to front where children can play. Table tennis table and trampoline available in summer season. Patio area and barbecue available. Ample parking to the rear.

Coast/Beach
In summer the fresh water lakes are crystal and clear and warm and offer the ideal way of cooling down in the hot summer months (Carinthia is Austria's southern most region and enjoys a Mediterranean type of climate). The Weissensee and Presseggersee are both approximately 15 mins away and the Worthersee, Ossiachersee and Faakersee are all within an hours drive. Each lake has its own range of water based enjoyment from simple swimming to banana boat rides.

Golf
New golf course 30 mins to be completed in 2008.

Skiing
Local skiing available in Weissbriach (2 mins by car), 4 lifts and 5k of easy to medium pistes, ideally for beginners and family groups. Ski hire and lessons available locally at reasonable cost. Weissensee is 15 mins by car with Europes largest outdoor skating arena. Marked out speed skating track as well as free style skating. Weissensee also has a smal ski area with about 5k of pistes. 20 minutes by car will take you to the Nassfeld ski arena which is one of Austrians largest. There is also a free ski bus from Weissbriach to Nassfeld. Over 100k of pistes for all skill levels and 30 plus lifts.

Special interest holidays
The area around Weissbriach offers a wide range of outdoor pursuits, walking, cycling, golf, sleighrides, rafting, canyoning as well as downhill and cross country skiing and skating can all be found locally.

Travel
Klagenfurt (Ryanair from London Stansted) 1 hour, Salzburg (Thomsonfly and others) 2.5 hours, Venice (Thomsonfly and others) 2.5 hours, Ljubliana (Slovenia) 1.5 hours. Car hire recommended.

Distances
Weissbriach village centre is 300m and has local shops and a modern supermarket as well as several eating / drinking places. Hermagor 10km, good local shops and several supermarkets, wide range of eating and drinking places. Villach 40km, large town with shopping mall and large shops as well as a beautiful old town centre. Christmas market is well worth a visit.

Carinthia is Austria's southern most province, bordering Italy and Slovenia and little known to British visitors. It offers spectacular mountain scenery with no fewer than 200 lakes, warm for swimming and as clean as drinking water. A wide range of golf, walking, cycling and other more adventurous pursuits await you in summer and skiing, skating and sleigh rides in winter. It is the ideal location for family holidays as well as for couples and groups of friends. Carinthia has a continental climate with the highest sun index in Austria with temperatures rivalling the Mediterranean. In winter there is lots of snow and sunshine and Skiing is guaranteed in the nearby Nassfeld ski arena from mid December until April. Spring and Autumn are perfect for walking or cycling holidays. Within 1 hours drive you can visit Italy, Slovenia and many beautiful lakes, mountains and delightful historic towns. In around 2.5 hours you can be in Venice, Ljubliana, Salzburg, Graz, or Trieste. In short the perfect holiday location all year round.
