Travel
Nearest airport: The closest airports is Innsbruck at 50km. Nearest railway station: Express trains stop at Jenbach or Wörgl at 10km. Nearest motorway: Take the A12 motorway to the exit Kramsach at 10km. The best airports to fly to are Salzberg or Munich. They are a 1.5 hour drive from Inneralpbach (Innsbruck is the closest but tends to be more expensive as it is surrounded by mountains and the cheaper airlines tend not to fly there). For cheap carriers check jet2, Ryan air, and Thomson fly.
Distances
Paragliding in Kramsach, about 20 mins away. All year round skiing and snowboarding at the glacier in Hintertux, about an hour away. Horse riding in Kramsach, about 15 mins. Hot air ballooning in St Johann, about 45 mins. Numerous water parks and adventure play grounds and parks 20 mins. One of my favourite things is flower picking in the lush meadows. A large concrete skate park 'The Cradle' in Brixlegg 15 mins away that is another beauty. One of the best in Europe. Big smooth hips and spines.
Further details
Alpbach Valley and the Tiroler Lake District lies in the midst of impressive mountain scenery between the Kitzbüler Alps and the Rofan Range, 1000m above sea level. With its romantic landscape and attractive skiing and snowboarding facilities, this Tirolean village is a genuine winters fairy tale. In Spring, Summer and Autumn experience the magic of the mountains with extensive hiking, mountain biking, and inviting natural bathing lakes.
Airport transfer taxi - especially for larger groups, you can take a taxi - mini bus from the local taxi firm. No waiting at all then. The cost of a taxi from Innsbruck airport is 90 euros a40 min drive from Salzberg 180 euros approx. From Munich 180 euros approx. Both an hour and a half drive. I would advise to book sooner rather than later especially in the high seasons. Train services there are excellent and frequent train from Innsbruck, Salzburg (The train station is a 10 minute bus or 5 min taxi ride from the airport. Trains run from Munich airport. Express trains (ICE, IC,EC) stop at the express train stations Jenbach or Wörgl (both stations are about 15km from Inneralpbach. Regional trains stop at Brixlegg or Rattenberg stations.

A group of families with small kids stayed at Haus Hislop in Mar 2007 and the accommodation was very clean and worked really well with the kids. 2 of the apartments have a shared deck which is lovely. Claire is very friendly and is well known in Inner Alpbach. She arranged for us to eat at the Zirmalm restaurant which is 1 minutes walk away and offered superb value meals. I loved the fact that you could arrange to leave your ski gear at the gondola station which was about 5-6 minutes walk away. We will visit again and we had a great holiday. Alison, Yorkshire
We spent our Easter break returning to our favorite haunt of Alpbach, to catch the last of the skiing season. The pistes have been kept in excellent condition. We stayed at Haus Hislop, a 4 apartment house in Inneralpbach, run by Claire Hislop. Beautifully maintained and decorated, and easy access to the slopes (its a bus ride if you stay in Alpbach itself) the best restaurant is the 'The Zirmalm' 2 mins. Katherine, Lemington.

About the owner
I'm originally from Haworth in West Yorkshire. I came skiing and then visited in the summer and loved it so much I came here and set up Haus Hislop. I can help out with all aspects from tranfers, booking resturants, getting shopping in and providing info (and photos) of activities and things to do etc. Nothing is too much trouble. You can read my visitors comments by going onto the Haus Hislop web site. Hope to see you here soon or in the future! :)

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I'd holidayed in The Wonderful Alpbachtal in different times of the year and found it to be such a great and beautiful place. The people are very friendly and it seemed to have everything. Stunning scenery and wonderful weather. 4 well defined seasons. The weather is a major factor. More often than not the sky is blue and the sun is shinning.
I actually bought the land, the local bank invested in me and Haus Hislop was built. Now 5 years on everything is great and I have built up a superb customer based. Some of my guests will be on their 6th visit next year!
Inneralpbach is such a delightful place. It's a hamlet deep in the heart of the valley. There are still 105 working farms in the Alpbach about the same number as a hundred years ago. It feels like a place that time has stood st
Unique benefits of the property
Inneralpbach, with its wonderful situation, having walking routes that start here in the village, together with ski lifts and runs also right from the centre, is quite unique. With the free bus service many people find they don’t actually need a car.
It's such a cute place, the bulidings are all tradtionally Tyrolean. Due to a law made in 1956 to ensure the place keeps it's unique and unspoilt look. It is the place where the streets have no names.
Within a few minutes there are three restaurants, several bars and the local brewery.
Just up the hill behind us is a very old farm, now the Heimat museum – the Vorder-Unterberg Farm complete with its own chapel and smokery, built in 1636-38 and lived in until 1952.
I am integrated with my neighbours and my German is getting better a
