Changeover day
Preferred rental is Saturday to Saturday, but will consider other arrival and departure days where possible. Departure before 10am, arrival after 3pm to allow for cleaning.

Notes on accommodation
There is a secure intercom entry system on the outer door. The apartment has underfloor heating with separate controls in individual rooms, and extractor fans in the bathroom and WC. Guests have free access to the newly built Wellness Centre next door, with indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, gym and beauty treatment rooms There is also a bar/restaurant and rooftop terrace, and the bar has Wi-Fi which guests may use.
Accessibility
As the apartment is on the first floor it is not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
There is ample parking next to the apartment. Patio furniture and BBQ are provided for use on the balcony.
Skiing
There are two ski schools in Rauris. The main ski gondola is 5 minutes walk from the apartment, and the nursery slopes are situated there. The gondola gives access to blue, red and black runs. The cross country ski trail starts close to the apartment. The skiing areas of Zell am See, Kaprun and Bad Hofgastein are 20-25 minutes drive away, while Kitzbuhl is about 1 hour.
Travel
Budget airlines fly from the UK to Salzburg Airport which is about 1 hour drive from Rauris. Several car hire companies are situated here, alternatively, there is a train service from Salzburg to Taxenbach, then bus or short taxi ride to Rauris. Innsbruck and Munich airports are 2-3 hours drive away.
Distances
The nearest large town is Zell am See, with its lake, shops and cafes, approx 20 minutes drive away.
Further details
Rauris is a small and friendly town with all amenities. There is a bank with cash machine, Post Office, two supermarkets, a chemist, two bakeries, ski equipment rental, clothing and shoe shops, tourist information, as well as several bars, restaurants and hotels. Rauris is an ideal centre for summer and winter holidays. There is an open-air heated pool as well as the indoor pool at the Wellness Centre. There are tennis courts, squash, bowling, mini-golf, fishing rafting, paragliding, gold panning, horse riding,golf courses, and miles of mountain bike and walking trails within the vicinity. There are many places of interest for day or half day trips, a folder is provided with leaflets giving details. Coach tours are available from the town
Booking notes
For booking enquiries please email or use the phone number provided. £100 deposit is required to secure the booking, with the final payment due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A separate cheque for £200 should be sent with the final payment to cover potential damages which will be returned 1 week after the holiday.

You have a lovely apartment with fantastic views, the children really liked the zebra in the hall. We have stayed in various places around Austria over the last few years, and we all agree that Rauris was our favourite.
