In centre of unspoilt pretty alpine village with shops, swimming lake, restaurants and bank. Close ski lift, ski school. Ski bus outside door. Fantastic downhill family skiing. Snow sure area. Wonderful mountain walks in Austria's lake district. Beautiful purpose built swimming lake within walking distance. It is not intrusive. Many historic and fun places to visit and activities such as mountain biking, golf, caves, fossil hunting, tobogganing, castles, rafting, canyoning, climbing, canoeing, sailing, sub aqua diving. Hallstatt Village and lake 10 mins (World Heritage site).

Notes on prices
Prices are for the apartment per day in euros.
Cleaning is 18 euros per person per stay extra. Tourist tax is included in the rental. Children under 3 are free.
Discount: From 30/8/08 to 22/12/08 and 18/4/09 to 12/12/09 a 25 % discount is available for bokings of 1 to 5 people and a 15% discount for bookings of 6 or 7 people.
Changeover day
Saturday is preferred but this can be flexible depending on the bookings.

Outside
Lovely park with natural 'lake like' swimming pool, childrens' play area and pool, canoe pool. Balcony with chairs and table.
Coast/Beach
Lake Hallstatt has several swimming areas- 10 mins drive .
The large tasteful Water Park in the landscaped gardens next to the apartment with several swimming pools and water features.
Golf
The Salzkammergut is a popular golf destination. A total of 6 golf clubs and the Telekom-Austria Training Center in Bad Ischl 25 mins drive.
Skiing
The property is in the Dachstein West ski region which is one of the largest family skiing areas in Austria. 140km of descents. There are 45km of downhill runs from the village, an adult's and children's ski school and a good creche. The village has a cross country skiing trail and many winter walks. The season is from 26.11.06 to 17.4.07. It is a snow assured area and the village has snow machines. On the same ski pass you can go to 6 more resorts, Abtenau (10 mins) has 130km of cross country skiing; Postalm is a beginners downhill paradise; Obertraun has a glacier popular with freeriders and a 11 km descent; Bad Ischl, St Martin and Ebensee. This is not a package holiday area, this is where Austrians come to ski. In under one hour you can be on the slopes of the Sportwelt Amade region which includes the famous world cup down hill run at Flachau.
Travel
Salzburg airport is 45 mins by car. Calais - Salzburg aprox 10/11 hours driving. Car Hire is recommended but it is possible to travel to Russbach by taxi, alternatively there is a bus from Salzburg (one change), or a train from Salzburg to Golling (30 mins)then a bus (30 mins).

The apartment is in the centre of Russbach. Salzburg - 45mins
Hallstattsee - 10/15mins world Heritage village and lake and salt caves. Austria's longest summer tobogan run - 10 mins
Gosau - indoor swimming pool 5 mins. Bad Ischl - spa town with music operetta and golf course 25/30 mins. Obertraun glacier - Krippenstein cable car 20/30 mins. Abtenau - bigger shops 10/15 mins.
Further details
The local shop is opposite the apartment and there is a bank and restaurant in the same apartment house. Russbach is in the The Austrian Lake district which has amazing walking.
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm a booking which will be deducted from the total cost. The final balance will be due 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. A security deposit of E150 (£105.00) is required with the final payment which will be fully refundable when the keys have been returned and our agents confirm that there is no damage to the apartment.
