Arzachena holiday accommodation is found in and around a town in northern Sardinia, not far from the famous Costa Smeralda destination, famed for its scenic coastline and fantastic beaches. The closest beach is no more than 5 minutes away, and what makes the coastline in the area near villas in Arzachena so special is the presence of the Maddalena Archipelago, which creates a beautifully sheltered coastline. One of the nearest beaches to Arzachena self-catering cottages is Isuledda di Cannigione, a half-moon shamed beach with white sand and shallow waters. Meanwhile about 15 minutes to the north is Palau, which boasts no fewer than five sublime beaches.
The town around Arzachena self-catering apartments would be well worth exploring. On the streets you’ll find four historic churches, and the area just outside the town is known for its wealth of prehistoric monuments. One the road to Olbia you‘ll be able to see the Albucciu dolmen, while there’s also an ancient temple, Malchittu, not far from this monument. If you’re willing to travel a little further from a holiday cottage in Arzachena you’ll be able to get to some more wonderful beaches. Among the best picks are Romazzino, Cappriccioli and Liscia Ruja. The latter is around 15 minutes in the car from Arzachena self-catering villas and is considered one of the best on the island thanks to its width and unspoiled natural surroundings.
