Located on the fringe of the village (3 / 4 mins walk to centre) this attractive 3 bedroom stone built detached family Villa with private pool has been designed for absolute convenience with full air-con and its own secluded private pool / shower and BBQ. It also offers superb views over olive groves to the distant White Mountains. Built over two floors, there are two upstairs - king size and double bedrooms which share a bathroom with shower, both open onto a large terrace providing a perfect area for alfresco drinks / chilling out.

Please be advised that the swimming pool is not fenced and accordingly supervision of all children is required at all times.

The Ground Floor - twin bedroom has aircon and the convenience of a renovated wet-room shower/WC opposite, lounge with free WI-FI and basic greek freeview TV & some international news channels. The property also boasts a compact / secluded private swimming pool (10m x 2.95m) with an extensive irregular paved sun bathing area and poolside shower. BBQ area. Landscaped garden borders with screening fence with scented flowers and succulent plants, sunbeds x 6 + 2 rocking chairs & sun umbrella. Garden bench & drinks table.

The property is approximately 14 years old and has been built in a traditional style with attractive arches & outdoor breakfast terrace area for 6. The cool interior has aircon, a comfortable open plan dining/living room with feature fireplace. Fully equipped open plan kitchen with full hob/oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. Free WI-FI. External archway dining area with additional upstairs terrace, sun downer drinks / breakfast area. Pool side has a shower, BBQ area and walk in utility /store with washing machine and seasonal oil central heating boiler. The house is a non-smoking house with stunning views of the White mountains and is located amidst surrounding olive groves and neighbouring farms whilst only a 3 min. walk to the nearest local cafe & taverna.

Great 2 weeks

Apart from a couple of niggles, we really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was great, particularly for the kids aged 10 and five. We tended to do a day at the beach on alternate days, sampling different beaches,and on the other days we would make a day of it at the house with the pool. We loved the balcony, which gives a great view over the countryside to the White Mountains. We ate out quite a lot and found that the food at most of Tavernas in the area is brilliant. As to the niggles, the toilet seat in the bathroom was really cheap and kept coming off – annoying. David and Mary, who live next door and look after the property, always responded quickly to any problems, which was good. Overall, a great two weeks with our family (myself and my wife, our son, his wife and two children).

Great villa, stunning location!

Our family of 4 have just returned after a week in this lovely villa. The property is modern, fully equipped and has ample room inside although we spent most of our time outside. We had all our meals at the covered dining table and made good use of the nice pool. The villa is set on the edge of the charming village of Kefalas and has amazing views over olive plantations to the beautiful White Mountains. Best seen from the large covered balcony. The village has 2 small shops and 3 tavernas where we had some great food and on one evening we ate outside and were treated to an evening of traditional Greek music. This is a very rural location with the nearest beach and supermarket about 20 minutes drive away ( both in Kalives ) so a car is a must. Some of the roads are quite exciting! The property managers, David & Mary live next door and were very helpful. Our family had a wonderful week here and we were truly sorry to leave. Note to owner.. The cupboards under the kitchen sink smell a little musty, it may be worth checking for a leak? Otherwise, Thank you for sharing your lovely villa with us!

Fantastic villa

One of the best equipped holiday villas we've stayed in- plenty of glasses/ cutlery/ utensils, which is not always the case! The pool is a really nice size for swimming and cooling down. Nothing was too much trouble for James during the booking process, and all of my queries were answered quickly. The location is great- lovely and quiet but only a short drive to beaches/ villages/ tavernas (or a short walk to the shop/taverna in the village!). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa! If we come back to Crete, we'll come back to you!

De superbes vacances

Localisation parfaite entre Chania et Rethymno, avec un grand choix d'activités dans un rayon de 1h en voiture: sites historiques, plages aménagées et touristiques du nord, plages confidentielles du sud, grand choix de restauration, et petit village très agréable avec toutes les commodites La maison est grande et bien équipée tout à fait conforme à l'annonce De superbes vacances en famille au calme, avec une équipe de maintenance à proximite si problème (Maria et David très sympa et efficaces !)

Customised for maximum convenience for family use - not suitable as a group party house but ideal for families !
