Villa in Camelford, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location - Short Drive To Beaches

Set in the countryside of North Cornwall, Lanteglos offers the ideal place for those looking for both a country break and beach holiday.

There is a woodland setting play area for children

The rural setting is very peaceful and even in the busy summer months it is renowned for a lovely relaxed atmosphere. But if you want the beach - there are a selection of fantastic sandy beaches within a 10 minute drive.

Padstow with its harbour and well known restaurants is also within an easy drive by as is Port Issac and Tintagel - home of the King Arthur legends.

Bodmin with its steam railway as is the Eden Project are all within an easy drive away.

There is so much to see and do.

The recently decorated property offers 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other has a single bed plus a Z bed with a proper comfy sprung mattress so sleeps 4 with ease. There's a patio table and chairs to sit out and enjoy your sunny south facing aspect.

There is a brand new fully fitted kitchen with Zanussi oven and ceramic hob hob, microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle, coffee maker etc.

The bathroom was recently completely refitted and offers a fully tiled bathroom with power shower above the bath.

The Satellite TV receives a wide range of programmes

Bowood Park Golf Club is next door, and the hotel can arrange for you to play there at reduced green fees. Bowood Park also has a bar which offers bar snacks plus a restaurant, pool table etc which is also open to non residents.

The property is surrounded by beautiful countryside, making this a wonderful area for walking. There is so much choice with glorious coastal footpaths and the mysterious Bodmin Moor to circular walks from the property.

There is so much to do within a short drive including the Eden Project, Bodmin Steam Railway, Tintagel Castle etc.

Plus a choice of lovely sandy beaches within a 15 minute drive.

Plus the Camelford Way cycle path is only 2 miles away. There is even a bicycle rack to chain your bikes to right outside your lounge window.

There's no charge for electricity or water. The beds are all made up with fresh, clean linen - please take your own towels.

Perfect location to explore North Cornwall

Little holiday villa in lovely grounds, with access to a swimming pool, a badminton court and a small games room with table tennis, pool, sliders and table football, to keep the young ones entertained. Although some of the facilities were closed due to covid-19, the villa's location is great for nearby supermarkets and shops. We had an enjoyable stay.

Repeat booking to this delightful villa

Having throughly enjoyed my previous stay here I couldn't wait to re visit, it is my perfect escape from busy life - just delightful! The location is great for exploring but also offers the rural retreat best of both worlds! It is always welcoming, clean and tidy with all the home comforts you could possibly wish for! Will be re booking for my next visit very soon Deanna.

Unclean.

Empty vodka bottle found in bedside cabinet. Sofa cover stained & very uncomfortable. Cobwebs in every room. Dining table poor & wobbly. Needs a good clean. Kitchen well equipped. Such a shame because it could be very nice.

Beautiful and perfect location to explore East Cornwall

Truly is a beautiful secluded location really close to amazing family days out like Lanhydrock, Hidden Valley, Tintagel and the beaches near Bude. The property is well equipped and cosy, Camelford a mile up the road has a great pub, a well stocked mini market and the best chippy in the world! Our only issue is that it is advertised as having a washing machine, which is important with boys who roll in mud, sand, anything - in reality it has a derelict amenity building to serve many villas which includes a poorly maintained launderette with only one working machine.

Why they chose this property

We bought the property as a bolt hole to go and relax. We really loved the quiet countryside position but within easy reach or everything that Cornwall has to offer

What makes this property unique

We found it was great having the hotel facilities to use plus Bowood Golf Club is just next door and you can walk there to use their bar or restaurant or to play golf.

The property is also only a mile from the village of Camelford which has a Leisure Centre with Indoor Pool plus shops, banks and pubs etc and the Award Winning Fish & Chip Shop.
