A tranquil rural gite in the Gironde / Dordogne borders with stunning views over the French Countryside yet within a 5 minutes drive of a several villages. We are opposite the fantastic lake, that is great for walks, cycling and fishing. The Gite has free WIFI, English TV, your own private patio, BBQ Area, and 6 seater heated jacuzzi. All bed linen, towels, and cleaning products are included in the price. We are 30 minutes from Bergerac airport and 1 hour 30 minutes from Bordeaux

Perfect quiet location

Lovely location and very well equipped. The owners were so helpful from the welcome basket to places to visit. The property was Perfect for a relaxing holiday with plenty to do around . Will definitely be going back

Fantastic Holiday!

Myself, my wife and our 2 young boys stayed at La Junnel for a week in early August 2017. We had a great time, largely down to Gary & Louise being very helpful and giving us great advice with what was happening locally and recommending places to go. Nearby Eymet is a superb little Bastide Town with so much going on. The Gite itself is very clean and tidy and has everything you could need for a self catering holiday. Gary and Louise gave us as much privacy as we needed but were always on hand to give great advice about the area and just to have a nice chat with, our boys loved asking Gary questions about France! They also loved the 2 very well behaved dogs, Sophie and Domino that we sometimes saw wandering around the big gardens. The hot-tub is amazing and it certainly got plenty of use during our stay! I would highly recommend Eymet and this Gite to anyone.

Fantastic!

We had a lovely week in La Junnel this August! The house is well equipped, comfortable and clean. The highlight for our son was the hot tub in the garden. He was in and out all day. The surrounding area is great with lots of things to do and we did wine tours, caves, castles and canoeing. Lots of great things to do with children. The nearby town of Eymet was lovely. Gary and Louise gave us lots of helpful advice and information! We would highly recommend it!!

Fabulous!!

Had a fabulous stay at 'La Junnel'. Louise and Gary are lovely hosts and helped us out with lots of local information. The gite is in a great location, offering peace and quiet and beautiful gardens. The accommodation is perfect. Home from home with great outdoor facilities. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas. We had a great time visiting local markets and soirees and even kayaking on the Dordogne. We cannot wait to return.

Wonderful, well positioned gite for walking and sight seeing.

We were welcomed to La Junnel by its friendly, helpful owners Gary and Louise and a much appreciated welcome pack of bread, milk, wine, cheese etc. The gite is very well equipped, comfortable beds, great shower and hot tub and lovely outside space for eating and relaxing. It is very well situated for visiting the old, interesting towns and villages in the area and for the cafes and restaurants in the square in nearby Eymet. Situated on the edge of a lake, there is plenty of walking, mostly flat, around the lake and a variety of wildlife to watch. We did a different walk each evening directly from the gite and enjoyed every one. Gary is very helpful advising the best places to visit, eat, drive etc and it was lovely to see their two little dogs each morning too although never intrusive but allowed to visit us as we are dog people. We really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely return next year.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the properties in 2012. The house is in a great location in the middle of the countryside with plenty of cycle routes and vineyards. It is a great place to experience the wildlife and night skies. The house is in a tranquil location, but within 5 minutes drives of villages and night life. The lake is a fantastic place and is used by walkers, horse riders and joggers. You may also find fisherman too. During the summer months, leisure activities take place on or around the lake like water skiing, cross country horse races etc
There are lots of beautiful villages to go and visit and lots of activities within a 30 minutes drive of the property. We can arrange for bicycles to be here on your arrival of help you book canoeing trips of vieyards trips

What makes this property unique

No need to worry about shopping after your journey, on arrival you will be greeted with a complimentary basket with the essentials for drinks and snacks and a bottle of local wine to relax with. Just chill and relax on your first evening, after all you're on holiday. The information pack in the apartment is full of information on local attractions, where to shop, restaurants etc. However we are at your service at all times, whether it's for information on the area, advice on where to eat out or you just want the Spa temperature tweaking.
