"Perfect Family Villa"
Casa Margarita is a perfect holiday villa. It's well maintained, secure and having the games room/garage is perfect for getting the kids out of the sun for an hour or so in the afternoon (while keeping them entertained!) We had 5 young children in our party and the having the bunk room meant that they could all sleep in the same room. The villa is also a short drive from several large supermarkets, the beach and the airport (not that we found the need to venture out too often!)We found the property manager Michael very friendly and always at hand when needed (thanks again for reprinting my boarding passes Michael!) The couple next door who maintain the pool and gardens were also lovely and quickly made friends with the children letting them into their garden to hold the terrapins (a highlight for them all). I think it is worth mentioning that although there are birds next door, I wouldn't call it a sanctuary - more a bird cage with around 10 small birds in! They were lovely and did not hamper our sleep or lessen our opinion of the villa(!). We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely be coming back

"Great Family Holiday Home"
We traveled as a family group with grandparents and 4 children from 9-14 years. We had a lovely time. The heated pool and terrace were secluded and there were numerous inflatable toys available which the kids loved. The house was well equipped and the games room was an added bonus. We preferred to be a bit away from the main tourist hotspots but we were close enough for attractions to be easily accessible. There was plenty to do and good restaurants within easy driving distance. The agent Michael was very helpful and responsive to any queries.

This is the second time we have taken our family to Tenerife having been to three of the other Canary Islands before. This is also the second time we have booked a villa in El Salto, the other being run by the same people (villa Farola). We had a great time in that villa and very happy with the management representative who lives next door to villa Farola. The villa was beautifully decorated and very clean and tidy. We have 4 kids and there's loads of space for them in the bedrooms and living area, but to be honest, they just spent most of their time in the pool! I'm very particular about having a heated pool as we tend to go to the Canaries in the winter, although this time was a little later than usual - in the spring. Having had a few bad experiences with purported 'heated' pools before, I was very pleased with the attention Michael gave to this detail last time in villa Farola and the same applied this time too in villa Margarita. The pool was warm, regardless of the couple of cooler days we had, it was used regularly. With El Salto being a little higher up from the coast, the villa has a beautiful setting with wide views over the surrounding area. It is quiet and relaxed, although the neighbours do have caged birds which can be noisy in the morning! The location is a perfect base for access to the coastal beaches from El Medano and along to Playa de Las Americas etc. You wont be disappointed with the villa, pool, location, management and experience you'll have here.

"Not as Expected"
The villa is located high up over a town and it was very very windy with dark clouds hanging over us for 8 of 10 days. There was mostly beautiful sunshine in low lying areas near the sea. The villa itself was lovely and everything we needed was there for us but there were a few things which weren't as advertised. There is only one shower in the villa located in the en suite bathroom, the main bathroom has a bath only with hand held shower but no curtain. The second double bedroom is accessed through the twin bedroom and while this double room does have a door there is no door to the twin room which is completely open to the hall. There was a smell of sewage from the main bathroom which was unpleasant but we didn't complain as we didn't want workmen disturbing us, we kept window open instead. Outside, the pool is lovely. The outside kitchen, which we thought from photos on website was poolside, was in fact a converted garage near the gate and didn't have a fridge as advertised. At about 3.30 every morning an out of sync neighbouring cock started crowing, this was shortly after the local dogs had stopped barking, and at day break the parrots, budgies and other species in the neighbours aviary (just outside our bedroom windows) started the dawn chorus. Because of the wind we had to leave the villa 8 of our 10 days and it would seem from what people were saying that this is a windy spot. A car is absolutely essential.
