    Welcome to our new luxury self catering rural retreats. Unwind and escape from it all. Discover our idyllic lodges where time is your own. Spend your days fishing on our lakes, exploring the glorious surroundings, or just enjoying the view and a long soak in a private hot tub. Our highly-finished wooden lodges are self catering, heated and sit close to the main pleasure lake. All have stunning views across the expansive countryside. And you don’t need to leave your canine companions behind, the lodges are dog friendly (max 2 dogs per lodge £4/night 1 dog - £6/night for 2 dogs) and they will love the on and off-site walks.

    Our onsite shop stocks everyday conveniences like milk, eggs and bread. And for the keen fisher person there is an excellent selection of fishing bait and tackle to choose from.

    Badger Set Sleeps 2 (1 Bedroom)

    Badger Set Lodge is a brand new one bedroom lodge on the front row with excellent views over the historic fens. The lodge sleeps two adults, has one bathroom with luxury wet room shower and an open plan oak floored kitchen, living area with its own warming log burner and large 4 person hot tub on the veranda.

    Our 2 bedroom lodge Fox Den is geared to people with mobility problems, it does have a ramp to it, and grab rails in the wet shower room.

    Each lodge has a large veranda on the front of it, with out side furniture for alfresco dining, and the hot tubs for Badger Set, Fox Den, Squirrel Drey, Beaver Den & Otter Holt Lodge. Each lodge also has plenty of parking next to the lodge, and an outside storage area for dirty boots or fishing tackle etc.

    Notes on prices
    We offer a 15% discount off the advertised price, if booking within 7 days of the arrival date, if mentioned at the time of booking. There is a dog charge of £4/night for 1 dog & £6/night for 2 dogs. walks. We will have 6 lodges from February onwards. For just £25, book an early arrival time from 12 pm. (subject to availability). New lodges will be added during October 2014 January 2015, prices have been reduced accordingly. There will be no work over Christmas & New Year period.

    Changeover day
    Our change over days are Friday & Monday, we can over 3 night weekend break, a 4 night mid week break and a 7 night week break or sometimes longer if required.

    About the area

    There are two nine hole courses near us, March golf Club and The Old Nene, both are lovely courses with good features.

    How to get there
    Nearest Airport is Stansted Airport, 1 hour away. And our nearest train station is March Station, 10 minutes away in a cab. Car is recommended, but not essential.

    We have a convenience shop on site, for everyday needs, but in the village of Doddington, there are 3 other shops and 2 pubs that do good pub grub. March is the nearest town and has the major supermarkets etc.
    Great places to visit are Ely, Cambridge and the local market towns around us, all have specific market days.

    Just got back from a great week long holiday at Fields End where we stayed in Fox Den Lodge.

    We received a warm welcome from Charlie who ran through what was what and showed us where the Lodge was. Impressive from the outside and even more so when you got inside which was well decorated, furnished and spacious. The site itself was very quiet due to being out of season but was well laid out and had all the amenities anyone could want. Two large fishing ponds for those who wanted it which were also pleasant to walk around to exercise out puppy.

    The location was excellent to visit the fens and we spent every day venturing out to visit towns, markets and beaches. Favorite places were March and Ely. After walking all day the hot tub was a real bonus to relax in the evening.

    We'd highly recommend and will be back.

    We had an absolutely brilliant time. Plenty of fishing and walks for the dog. It was so lovely and quiet. The lodge was to die for as were the staff. It was very helpful to have an on site fishing shop which we found very cheap. We definitely aim to visit again next year hopefully for two weeks.

    We would just like to say that we had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend a visit, i have been a keen angler all of my life fished all over the Uk - and abroad, this was the best fishing i have ever experienced.

    Fields End Water, is a family business run by Charlie & Michelle Boughton and is on the edge of a working arable farm, in the heart of Fenland, an interesting and historic part of England. The business has 2 fishing lakes, a caravan park and the luxury self catering lodges.

    Why this location?

    We built these lodges, because felt there was a real demand for people who don't own a caravan to come and enjoy our excellent facilities and guaranteed peace and quiet.
