Relax and unwind in our beautiful 1930's cottage which has just undergone a total renovation to restore it's natural beauty and character. This property is spacious and offers a high standard of accommodation. Beautiful tiled open fireplace in the living room. Wood burning stove in the dining room. Hand made kitchen units, Range master double oven and granite work tops. Downstairs Wet Room with under floor heating. Set in a position on a hillside, away from the maddening crowd, with extending views of the valley. Pheasants come in to nest in the trees at night and the seagulls cry can be heard in the mornings. Decking area to the rear of the garden in a lovely high position again with valley views. There is also parking for 2-3 vehicles. We do accept well behaved dogs (rules & conditions apply) please ask for details.

All Bedding, Linen, & T Towels are provided. The property will be cleaned on Change Over Day. Guests are asked to bring thier own towels.

Saturday is our preferred changeover day in the summer months however we do try to be flexible depending on availability so please enquire.
A 25% deposit is required when booking and balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Deposit is non refundable unless we are able to re book. A security deposit of £100 will be payable with final payment. This is a fully refundable deposit within 14 days of departure provided there is no damage/breakages to the property or items within. Short breaks outside July & August are available and welcomed. Discounts available for long weekends, please enquire.

Mevagissey is a village, fishing port and nestles in a small valley facing east to Mevagissey bay. The inner and outer harbours are busy with a mixture of pleasure vessels and fishing boats. The centre consists of narrow streets with many places to eat and shops aimed at the tourist trade.
The Museum on the harbour is definately worth a visit as is the Aquarium
The Lost Gardens Of Heligan..... are within walking distance. . 8 acres of superb grounds with a complex of walled gardens.
Caerhays Castle & Gardens..... An imposing 19th century castle set in 60 acres of woodland garden and a private beach.
Charlestown Shipwreck Centre St. Austell....... More than a quarter of a million shipwrecks are around the coast of britain and this centre illustrates a sample of these in photographs and salvaged cargo.
Kidzworld St. Austell...... An all weather adventure centre for children featuring mega slides, giant tubes and a digi wall.
The Eden Project.... Cornwall's best known attraction. The site consists of two vast landscaped space age green houses or bio mes, containing a variety of temperate and tropical plants.
China Clay Country Park..... A museum illustrating the history of china clay extraction in Cornwall since it was discovered in the county in 1746.
There is a swimming pool in the nearby Pentewan holiday park which is open to non residents out of season!

We arranged our booking for Bojea early this year for our stay in June and from the start Judy couldn't have been more helpful as I was arranging a family holiday with 6 adults and 3 kids - two of which are under two. Nothing seemed like to much trouble from offering extra travel cots and high chair to allowing us into the property early on our arrival. When we arrived in Mevagissey the weather was absolutely perfect - a lovely 25'c. We walked around the harbour and went for a much deserved cold pint after a four hour drive. When we received a call freom Judy to say Bojea was ready we went straight there. The house itself is beautiful, both in design and setting. Everything we needed for our stay was there. The welcome pack with a lovely bottle of wine, chocolates some beer and essentials was a lovely touch as were the goodies on the childrens beds. Everything had been thought of. I loved that there was a photo book showing all the hard work that had gone into making Bojea what it is today as well as some ideas on what they are going to do next. I hope that we will go back to see this as it's sure to be amazing.

Fantastic feel to the house, everything you could think of is provided, no corners cut, very high spec, all facilities top quality. Amazing to find such accommodation that is so nice and yet allows the dog too. Though you would never guess that other dogs had been there as house and grounds were spotless. This place has a personal presentation that the owners have made every effort to cater for the holiday maker enjoying a relaxing and perfect break at Bojea. Located well so that cornwall can be explored without long journeys to and from Cornwall's attractions. It was total luxury coming back to Bojea at the end of an excursion. I highly recommend.

We have just returned from a week staying at Bojea. What a lovely house which is decorated and fitted out to a high standard. The kitchen has all you could need to cater for a family. It is well situated with an open aspect to one side and a lovely large garden that is secure. We could relax outside on one of the two patio/ decking areas with our dog who had fun exploring the different areas of the garden. Mevagissey, which is a pretty and friendly village is an easy 5 min walk and travel by car to other areas was easy. With 3 teenagers we definitely appreciated the good Wifi service. I would definitely recommend this to others and Judy was very thoughtful and helpful throughout the booking and our visit. If we return to Cornwall we would book here again.

The house is the best holiday home we have rented in the UK. The owners were extremely helpful from start to finish. Lovely hamper was a nice surprise on our arrival. The house is a high spec and the owners have furnished it like their own home and not like a normal let. The garden is fantastic would like to go back during the summer to get the most out of it. Mevagissey itself was a real surprise. Five good pubs and lots of restaurants to choose from. In our opinion better than Fowey and Padstow. Thanks Judy for a great week.

"Lovely Christmas "
We stayed at Bojea Cottage over Christmas. The cottage was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations & a tree. Also we was left an amazing hamper with treats for both us and the dog. We had a lovely open fire which made the cold evenings perfect. The cottage has great outdoor space with a lovely decking area which we are sure will be great for those warm summer evenings with a Gin & Tonic. Bojea is in a great location, with just a short walk to the harbour. We really did have a great Christmas in a wonderful cottage.

About the Owner
We are a self employed couple living in Somerset. We have over the years spent many holidays in Cornwall and when this place came on the market we knew the time was right for us to invest in this little gem for our later years whilst at the same time getting a lot of pleasure from it. We have cocker spaniels which we work and gain a lot of pleasure from time spent with them. This year we bred our first litter which were sold before they were born!! (Yes..we kept 2..how could we not?) Our eldest daughter is married and now a Farmers wife and has enjoyed her first season lambing and our youngest daughter (10 years old) is pony mad. (A 15 year gap between the girls)
So there is never a dull moment between.

Why this location?
We fell in love with the property as soon as we saw it. It gives you that feeling of being in the country surrounded by fields & Trees yet a 10 minute walk away is the sea...Perfect... We saw the potential within, as it did need a lot of work. The house was gutted, retaining the original floor and restored using local tradesmen and a portfolio from start to finish is on display within the property. We feel happy with what we have achieved thus far and now look forward to the house being filled with laughter,chatter and happy memories and the garden taking shape and producing colour all year round....!!

PARKING can be a problem in Mevagissey and we are fortunate enough to have off road parking for 4/5 vehicles. The property is a great base from which to explore what Cornwall has to offer
