"Fabulous Cottage "
We have just returned from a fantastic week at Bojea. Beautiful house, great outdoor relaxing space, child and dog friendly... we were sad to have to come home! A short stroll from the centre of "Meva" with its shops, bars and restaurants around the harbour. Quiet and secluded yet close to St Austell for supermarkets, cash points and fuel. The house is well equipt and large enough for 4 adults, 3 dogs and 1 9 year old to spread out in, yet it feels cosy too. We very much hope to return for 2 weeks in 2016 xxx

We have just spent an amazing week in the very beautiful Bojea cottage in Mevagissey. The cottage had everything we could have wished for and more, from the luxury welcome bag of goodies, which was a delight to receive, to the unexpected, but greatly received, gifts for the children. The cottage and it's gardens, terraces and views are stunning. The information books and leaflets were extremely helpful. Judy was extremely helpful and informative from the start and made the whole experience of booking the cottage and finding our way around easy.

"Belgians In Cornwall"
We were probably the first non-UK family renting this wonderful summer house in Mevagissey. It was our first time in Cornwall and the overall experience was sublime. (We do know more about the UK than what we see in the otherwise well-appreciated Little Britain series...) No problems driving on the wrong side of the UK roads, and using the adequate description of the house location we arrived late afternoon on Saturday 5 July 2014, just in time to see our Belgian soccer team lose from Argentinia in the world cup. The very generous welcome package, including "ales", real beers and wine allowed us to drown our sorrows. We discovered the house was tip-top clean and recently reconstructed with a very intelligent design: Fully equipped kitchen, good music CDs available in the living room, good and very comfortable beds, nice furniture and a cozy salon with a movie set which could surprise our daughters. The terrace is fantastic for outside eating and dining and the sun deck on the top of the property can be used for aperitif drinks, sunbathing and sun burning. This sun deck is this little extra you will not find in other holiday homes! We did some wonderful hiking in the immediate neighborhood of Mevagissey (try the coastal path) but we also enjoyed very much our day trips to Fowley and Tintagel, where long ago the virtual King Arthur built his castle for future tourism. To remain educational even in a holiday week, we did visit the Eden project on a rainy day and enjoyed this futuristic adventure! 5 out of 7 days without rain, clear skies and enough sunshine: we could not have hoped for more. Excellent holiday house, nice region, good weather, sometimes good food (yes, we did try all sorts of fish and chips...): after one week, we all forgot about our soccer defeat.

We arranged our booking for Bojea early this year for our stay in June and from the start Judy couldn't have been more helpful as I was arranging a family holiday with 6 adults and 3 kids - two of which are under two. Nothing seemed like to much trouble from offering extra travel cots and high chair to allowing us into the property early on our arrival. When we arrived in Mevagissey the weather was absolutely perfect - a lovely 25'c. We walked around the harbour and went for a much deserved cold pint after a four hour drive. When we received a call freom Judy to say Bojea was ready we went straight there. The house itself is beautiful, both in design and setting. Everything we needed for our stay was there. The welcome pack with a lovely bottle of wine, chocolates some beer and essentials was a lovely touch as were the goodies on the childrens beds. Everything had been thought of. I loved that there was a photo book showing all the hard work that had gone into making Bojea what it is today as well as some ideas on what they are going to do next. I hope that we will go back to see this as it's sure to be amazing.

Fantastic feel to the house, everything you could think of is provided, no corners cut, very high spec, all facilities top quality. Amazing to find such accommodation that is so nice and yet allows the dog too. Though you would never guess that other dogs had been there as house and grounds were spotless. This place has a personal presentation that the owners have made every effort to cater for the holiday maker enjoying a relaxing and perfect break at Bojea. Located well so that cornwall can be explored without long journeys to and from Cornwall's attractions. It was total luxury coming back to Bojea at the end of an excursion. I highly recommend.

About the Owner
We are a self employed couple living in Somerset. We have over the years spent many holidays in Cornwall and when this place came on the market we knew the time was right for us to invest in this little gem for our later years whilst at the same time getting a lot of pleasure from it. We have cocker spaniels which we work and gain a lot of pleasure from time spent with them. This year we bred our first litter which were sold before they were born!! (Yes..we kept 2..how could we not?) Our eldest daughter is married and now a Farmers wife and has enjoyed her first season lambing and our youngest daughter (10 years old) is pony mad. (A 15 year gap between the girls)
So there is never a dull moment between.
Year property purchased: 2012
Why this location?
We fell in love with the property as soon as we saw it. It gives you that feeling of being in the country surrounded by fields & Trees yet a 10 minute walk away is the sea...Perfect... We saw the potential within, as it did need a lot of work. The house was gutted, retaining the original floor and restored using local tradesmen and a portfolio from start to finish is on display within the property. We feel happy with what we have achieved thus far and now look forward to the house being filled with laughter, chatter and happy memories and the garden taking shape and producing colour all year round....!!
What are the unique benefits of the property?
PARKING can be a problem in Mevagissey and we are fortunate enough to have off road parking for 4/5 vehicles. The property is a great base from which to explore what Cornwall has to offer
