Cottage near Moncontour, Cotes D'Armor, Brittany, France
About the area
Nearest beaches are about 30 minutes away.
Lots of great golf courses in the area ... check out Google for ideas. We love the one which adjoins the beach at Pleneuf Val Andre. Probably one of the most beautiful courses in the world.
Special Interest Holidays
The local villages of Henon and Ploeuc-sur-Lié have all the necessary amenities, from tennis courts to supermarkets, and are just 2 miles away. The stunning mediaeval hill fortress town of Moncontour is 7 miles away and provides an ideal place to eat out or sit in the 10th century church square watching the world go by. It is remarkably UN-touristy.
Medieval Festivals are ubiquitous and well worth the effort.
How to get there
Saint Malo or Roscoff with Brittany Ferries are the best way to arrive. Leaving we suggest you take a day sailing from Caen - which means you get back to UK around lunchtime. Its an early start but worth it the other end.
Nearest little village for your morning croissant and baguette - 2 miles.
Nearest market town (market day Wednesday) - 3 miles.
Lovely walled Medieval citadel for suppers in the square - 6 miles.
City with all the shops you need - 16 miles.
This is a family home not a business. You are welcome to borrow toys and other items such as fancy dress for the local Medieval Festivals (there are plenty). We are not precious but if you break something please replace it.
Tennis in Ploeuc, Water Skiing at Guerledan, Sailing at Pleneuf - all easy to reach.

"Beautiful rural spot. Glorious beach 1hr"
The house and garden are perfect for a young family, with a games cupboard, lots of beds and cots, walled garden and patio, table tennis and slide/swing set. The beaches up towards cap d'frehel had rock pools, waves for bodyboarding and sand for making castles. Nearby Moncontour has a medieval festival which was a real experience! The owner was very helpful.

About the Owner
I am the owner of Old Glebe and Les Bosses. I live and work in London but plan to spend my retirement in the countryside, hence having these two lovely houses which I dont have enough time to enjoy.
My houses are personal properties and are very different. Les Bosses, is a charming simple cottage set in very peaceful rural Brittany. Old Glebe is perfect for large family parties and only an hour from London.
I hope you enjoy your holiday, I am always very happy in both places and delighted to share them with you!
Year property purchased: 1990
Why this location?
I bought Les Bosses a long time ago when I was working in Brittany. I love rural France and the fact it is a short drive to the most stunning white sandy beaches. Getting there is so easy from St Malo or Roscoff via Brittany Ferries, or a 6 hours drive from the Channel tunnel.
