Built in 2012 Larchwood is a beautiful luxury cedar lodge overlooking the historic Duke's Pond. Its unique location and exclusivity provide the ultimate haven for getting away from it all. The lodge has a large gated decked area with tables, chairs, sun brolly and flower planters together with three private gardens and a shed for storing outdoor equipment. The gardens are an oasis for watching wildlife, frequently visited by a wide variety of birds, red squirrels badger and roe deer. Being on one level the lodge is wheelchair friendly with a portable wheelchair ramp (on request ) giving access via front door or decking area . The lodge itself provides 1st class accommodation for up to six people with a master bedroom (with luxurious en-suite ) TV with DVD. We live in Newcastle, have been married for 40 years and have two daughters and 2 grandchildren. After spending a lifetime of family holidays in the Lake District with the girls, Larchwood was the perfect place to continue this tradition with our ever growing family and friends.

Why they chose this property

We have always loved the Lake District and Larchwood provided access to all that it has to offer, yet its unique location gave us our own private retreat and the opportunity to create a home from home with family and friends in one of the most beautiful places in world.
