"Excellent holiday house"
This house was perfect for a family break in Newcastle. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We spent our time in the big kitchen and sun lounge at the rear. Peaceful location a few minutes walk from the shops and promenade of Newcastle. We had fantastic weather and made the most of the Mourne Mountains, Murlough beach and Tollymore Forest Park. We visit Newcastle regularly, so will definitely be back.

"Adorable little house"
This little bungalow is lovely. Slept 6 adults with plenty of room for everyone and luggage, spotlessly clean, towels supplied, and all appliances (dishwasher, iron) in good working order. Shame about the weather - we would've loved to have a BBQ in the garden. Owner was really helpful, prompt with returning deposit and happy to answer questions when we had a last-minute packing panic. The photos don't do it justice. It's a sweet little house and we all had a great time there. Location is really good for walking into town/seaside promenade as well but you'd need a car to see the Tollymore Park. 5 stars well-deserved.

All facilities were as described and provided an excellent base for our stay. 5 minutes from town and beach was accurate and the absence of parking charges was an unexpected bonus! The owners provided a friendly 'hands-on' service and their home was welcoming - a 'home from home' . The town had excellent facilities eg shops, restaurants etc and the people were most friendly.

Why this location?
We have 3 children and love the area because of the easy access to the mountains and beach for running, walking and just chilling out with the kids. We often use the property, and rarely have to use the car, as even walking up Donard is easily done from the house. The other advantage is that in the evening the house is only a short walk back from the many lovely restaurants and bars in the town.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
Everyone who stays here comments on how comfortable and relaxing it is. The house has good outdoor space in the private garden for BBQs on sunny days, and cosy in the winter with the wood burning stove. It is truly a home from home with a well equipped kitchen, books, guides and games. There is also 2 TVs/DVD CD player (with our CD collection!!) and ipod docking station.
