This is a home with everything suitable for a large family of five children and their visiting guests to enjoy. It is in the center of Bled's residential district, located only yards from St Martin's Church at the foot of the spectacular cliff top Bled Castle. There is a shop across the road from the property where a huge variety of fresh food, supplies and toiletries can be purchased. The lake offers a wide variety of entertainment from the leisurely to the active; sunbathing, swimming, diving, rowing, fishing etc. The piste is just across the lake from the accommodation and is open for day and night time skiing in the winter months and roller coaster rides in the summer. The property is within walking distance of all the hotels, pubs and restaurants.
Master bedroom with en suite and queen bed opens onto a walled garden with two small terraces. Bedroom 2 has queen bed and en suite. Bedroom three has 5 beds including one bunk.
Two bedrooms are en suite plus there is a larger shower room on the upper floor which can be accessed from the living area.
The kitchen is ultra modern and there is a gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, marble table and leather chairs. this kitchen is equipped with an assortment of cooking utensils and crockery.
There is a shared utility room with washing machines and bike store.
The living room, like the rest of the house, has underfloor heating, leather couches, plasma tv, cd player radio. It is a very spacious area.
There are a number of terraces that can be used in the summer time for sun bathing and bbq. There is also a children's lounge downstairs which has PS3 and an assortment of games.
Towels and linens are included. These can be changed at any time by asking our managers. A cleaner can also be arranged at a fee.

Access to the property is not suitable for wheelchair users. Tiled stairs have to be used to access the upper, living area of the property.
There is a large upper terrace. Two smaller patios which lead onto the garden. Shade can be found in the lower area when necessary. The garden is secured with a lockable gate which gives closer access to the restaurant and bars.

Notes on prices
A cleaning deposit if 50 euro is required on arrival. If the accommodation is left in a reasonable fashion this will be returned at the completion of your stay following an inspection by our staff.
Minimum stay 5 days. there is no preferred change over day
A deposit of 25% secures the booking and the remainder is due 6 weeks before arrival. Payments can be made by cheque or pay pal or any other method preferred by our guests. A returnable cleaning fee is required by our managers who will greet you with the keys. This will be returned if the house is left in a reasonable fashion.

About the area
It is in the center of Bled's residential district, only yards from St Martin's Church at the foot of the spectacular cliff top Bled Castle. There is a shop across the road with a huge variety of fresh food, supplies and toiletries The lake offers sunbathing, swimming, diving, rowing, fishing etc. The straza is just across the lake for night time skiing and roller coaster rides in the summer. It is within walking distance of all the hotels, and restaurants.
Golf is within walking distance. A Championship golf course is available in Bled. (27 holes), possibly one of the most scenic in the world. I can personally put you in touch with a local man who organizes golfing excursions on a daily basis to Italy and Austria which are just less than hours drive.
From here we ski in Bled straza, Vogel, Krvavec, Kobla, Kanin to mention just the local Slovenian ones which can be accessed by local bus or are within a half hour car ride. We also travel less than an hour to the bigger Austrian and Italian resorts which are easily accessed by car.
How to get there
The bus station is yards from the property.
The train station is 2km away in Lesce, giving access to Austria, Italy and Croatia.

You are in the heart of everything that is happening in Bled. There are regular buses to other places of interest such as the capital city of Ljubljana and the upland lake of Bohinj and the Pokljuka plateau. Lesce is the nearest train station which is 2 km away and this opens up the rest of Europe.
"To sum it up.... "Wow". We came across this on trip advisor and thought it looked great, but it's even better in real life!
Six of us stayed and we were amazed at the cleanliness, comfort and space for such a reasonable price. The underfloor heating was greatly welcomed as we visited when there was heavy snow!
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful for the duration. They really helped in making our break stress-free.

About the Owner
I am a married woman with six children. I visit Bled at least 6 times a year. I am a teacher and bring groups out regularly. I like the beautiful countryside. I love to hike, walk, cycle, swim and ski. Most of all I love the Slovene people who are very like the Irish. They love the outdoors and the glass of wine or beer in the evening. This, future retirement home, provides something for all my family and the extra guest en suite allows us to bring out our extended family and friends.

Why this location?
We just fell in love with Bled and bought this property on our first visit. We have not regretted it one bit. We have an extended family and everybody of all ages loves to come to Bled. There is something here for everyone, in all seasons. We bought a large property that needed to be renovated and its location was the key. There were large out houses and my husband thought it would be fun to have a business interest in Slovenia also. We turned the main house into a hostel, which is managed by local Slovene girls, Karmen and Mirjam, and we renovated the whole property to give us a large private house beside it. It is lovely to amble down to lake, or the local bar for some slovene wine, to walk or cycle around the lake or follow the boys down to the lake side supervised pools.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
Bled is an Alpine resort of breathtaking beauty, like a picture post card of a Disney wonderland. The vibrant town surrounds a crystal clear, spa lake, fed by the pure, green, melt water from the Julian Alps. In the summer the rivers are cool and the lakeside, supervised pools, are warm for bathing. In the winter it is crisp, dry and cold. Some winters the lake freezes and Bled is engulfed in snow, The snow capped Julian Alps are the background to this fairytale scenery. Slovenes are well known for their love of the outdoors and this is the perfect starting off point for days of fun, surrounded by the outstanding scenery of Triglav National Park. The town of Bled offers so many activities and attractions that it is easier to just arrive and follow what ever takes your fancy!
