Bedroom 1 with kingsize bed, bedroom 2 with double bed, both with fresh linen and towels to welcome you. Brand new solid wood framed beds for 2015.
Downstairs modern white bathroom with large corner bath with shower over, wash hand basin and wc.
A wooden latch door leads to a fully equipped kitchen boasting beautiful hand made wooden cupboards, 5 ring gas hob with double oven under, belfast sink, fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, and pine table and chairs seating 4.
Lounge with exposed beams and gas fired stove in front of a large sofa and wingback chair, comfortably seating 4. Flat screen TV, DVD with sound bar and subwoofer, and iPhone dock. Newly carpeted for 2015.
Fresh linen and towels supplied for each let. For longer stays, cottage is serviced fully with a complete change of linen included.

There is a flood step at the front door entrance, and spiral staircase which some people might find difficult.
Following the garden path from the back kitchen door passes some seating for a cuppa, a wide selection of plants and shrubs, garden bench, down to the very bottom, where the icing is on the cake with unspoilt open views over the water (tidal). Two stone character seats welcome you to sit with a drink and soak up the outstanding view over the River Torridge.
Important notes on accommodation
We offer a parking permit for a car park very close to the cottage, belonging to a local hotel. This is charged at £30.00 per week, or £5.00 per day for short breaks.
We also offer a garage, this is approx 1/2 mile from the cottage, useful for storage of bikes, surfboards, kayaks etc. This is an extra £25 per week, or £5 per day for short breaks. Please enquire for more details.
Free Wifi is available to all guests.
Dogs are welcome, at a small extra charge of £5 per dog per day.

About the area
The estuary is on your doorstep, with the nearest beach being Westward Ho! and Appledore being approx 10 minutes drive away, Saunton Sands and Croyde beaches approx 30 minutes drive, then the spectacular 3 mile long beach at Woolacombe is approx 45 minutes drive away, all very popular with surfers.
A selection of excellent golf courses are to be found within a reasonable driving distance. Westward Ho! being the nearest, about 10 mins drive and Barnstaple, about 20mins drive, and the renowned Saunton Sands Golf Course, about 30 mins drive.
How to get there
Nearest airport is Exeter, being approx 1 1/2 hours drive away, and Bristol being the same distance, just north rather than south. The train service is also very good, with the nearest station at Barnstaple, only 20 mins drive away. The bus service is very good and frequent, or plenty of taxis are available if you prefer. Use of a car is handy, but car hire is plentiful if required.
Nearest town is Bideford being a 5 minute walk away. For greater selection of the larger stores, Barnstaple, the regional centre is approx 20 minutes drive away. The village of Appledore is very popular with its narrow streets, galleries, and quaint shops, along with a very popular slipway access for those interested in boating.
Bideford is very fortunate with a number of traditional shops, butchers and greengrocers still remaining open, although there are 3 large supermarkets on the outside of town. Also several restaurants, cafes and fast food establishments.For keen gardeners, the delightful and intriguing gardens of RHS Rosemoor are only a short drive away. For cyclists, bikes can be hired locally (2 minutes walk from the cottage, at the end of the road!) for use on the tarka trail which is literally 1 minute from the cottage.

"All Sorted bideford"
Just stayed for a week, absolutely perfect we are a family of 4 including two teenage boys and found the cottage wonderful. Everything on the cottage was as described in the web page. Absolutely everything you would need is provided Very clean and welcome gift of wine and chocolate. The views are stunning the area is great and all that we wanted to do was very accessible by car. Westward Ho! Is a few minutes away and is a great family beech. I simply cannot recommend this cottage enough. The owners are very y helpful and a pleasure to deal with

Excellent facilities, excellent location, comfortable and very clean. A warm welcome with wine flowers and chocolate. Would definately return when the weather is better.

"A big step for mankind"
Charming character cottage close but far enough out of town centre, handy if wanting to travel on a bus pass also convenient parking very near cottage. Clean and all that one requires for a pleasant holiday, owner was most cooperative with one problem that was self inflicted but in the end did not exist (LoL). No fear of a small dog running out of the front door with the flood step , hence a big step for mankind, but not when coming down the spiral stairs that requires a backward step.
Recommended for: Age 55+, pet friendly, tourists without a car and sightseeing

About the Owner
Hi, we are Cath and Adrian Elliott, we started life in the Vale of Evesham. But absolutely fell in love with Devon and moved down here about 13 years ago. We now live in Combe Martin in a remote location in a property with an acre of land. As we absolutely love growing and eating our own produce (especially the home produced eggs). Our two kids have recently left the fold and bought their own flats in the thriving street of Mill Street in Bideford (a place we recommend you visit).

Why this location?
We purchased Allsorted because we had been looking to buy a holiday cottage for a while, but any previous properties just did not have the wow factor for us. But we immediately fell in love with Allsorted as soon as we went through the front door. Even mum gave it nine out of ten (you could have knocked me down with a feather) some other houses had scored as low as two with her. It is a quirky sort of property, but is has a positive, happy feel about it which seems immediately relaxing.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
Due to the remoteness of our house in Combe Martin, we find it an absolute pleasure when we stay in Allsorted, everything is just so handy. Supermarkets and local shops, literally five minutes walk over the old bridge (no need to get the car out!!!). For several years if we fancied a take away it would be a major expedition, we could not believe our luck at Allsorted you can have an array of different take aways delivered to your front door.
