    Chalet GABBRO is a self-catering ski chalet in Villard Reculas, a small mountain village in the Oisans mountains which is a gateway to the Grande Rousses ski area that also includes Alpe DíHuez and Vaujany. GABBRO has a south-facing terrace and balconies with stunning views over the Romanche valley.

    GABBRO is less than 100m from the nearest piste. From there access to the massive Alpe DíHuez ski area is easy, with almost 250 km of pistes to a height of 3300m catering for all levels. GABBRO is well-situated to access local shops and restaurants.

    We have tried to provide everything that you need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Whether itís relaxing in front of a roaring fire, preparing an evening meal, storing your ski equipment or a good nights sleep, we have provided the same high standard throughout.

    Location Information: Villard Reculas is in the Rhone-Alpes region. The nearest city is Grenoble but airports in Lyon, Chambery and even Geneva are within an easy drive. Whilst renowned for winter sports, the region has worked hard to develop activities for the year round e.g. mountain and downhill biking as well as road cycling for which it is also famous - Alpe DíHuez has one of the best known climbs in the Tour de France. The Grandes Rousses ski area has almost 250km of pisted skiing and extensive off-piste areas. If this isn't sufficient, the resort of Les Deux Alpes is 35km away. For those who want more of an off-piste thrill, La Grave is 40km away. The area offers superb off-road biking, there are 250km of runs between the villages. On the road, the area offers not only the famous Alpe DíHuez climb but also others such as the Col de la Croix de Fer and the Col du Galibier. Situated in the heart of the Ecrins National Park, there are a great variety of walks and hikes. Ski: Gabbro is ideally equipped and situated for skiing and boarding. Located on the upper floor is a ski and boot room. This includes a heated boot rack, which dries, heats and deodorizes your boots ready for the next days skiing. The local ski and boot hire shop, Le P'tit Pingouin, offers 20% off hire for those renting Gabbro. GABBRO is less than 100m from the nearest piste. From there access to the Grandes Rousses ski area is easy. It has almost 250km of pisted skiing and extensive off-piste areas to height of. In addition to Villard Reculas and Alpe DíHuez, the area also includes Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans and Vaujany. For those who find that even this isnít sufficient, the resort of Les Deux Alpes is 35km away. It can also be accessed by helicopter at Alpe DíHuez altiport. A 6 day Visialp pass includes upto 2 days in Les Deux Alpes. Or for those who want more of an off-piste thrill, La Grave is 40km away.

    "Awesome Chalet"

    Words alone could not do justice to how nice this Chalet is.... But I will try :) Very comfortable. Very Clean. All the facilities you could possibly want. Superb views (especially from the Hot tub after a long day's ski) Very comfy beds. Excellent layout. Nice selection of DVDs to watch on the enormous TV relaxing on the superb sofa. Lovely village, very friendly. Short walk to first lift. Don't hesitate, book today, bargain at these prices :)

    Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children and romantic getaway

    "Perfect Chalet in Villard"

    OMG what a perfect place to spend a week in the mountains. Couldn't fault this chalet in any way. Quiet at night with views to remember. No more than 2 minutes walk to the piste. Super comfortable beds with more hot water than you can shake a stick at. Go ahead and book this place you will not be disappointed!!!!!

    Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children and romantic getaway
