    Relax in front of a real log fire..and enjoy a glass of Cognac.

    The Chateau has 10 luxurious en-suite bedrooms each with a double bed and en-suite bathrooms.

    Ideal for that special event or wedding with up to 20 friends staying at Chateau St Paul.. further accomodation is easily arranged near-by.

    The Tower and Hermitage rooms can be self catered.

    The West Wing, 3 B&B suites, has a large ground floor dining room. This was the château kitchen and bakery.

    The Tower has a further 3 suites.

    The Hermitage has 4 suites and a large central Hall over 50ft long with extra facilities for seminars.

    We can arrange banquets for up to 90 people in our Banquet Hall..with its direct access to the Inner Courtyard and Tower Bar Cafe.

    The château benefits from having its own 12th century Church. Banquet Hall.. Inner Courtyard.. and Seminar Hall in the Hermitage. These spaces are available for weddings, events or group seminars.

    The Tower can be rented as a 3 suite house & has its own kitchen,lounge and dinning area.

    The Hermitage and its 4 suites can also be self catered.

    There are walks & alleys around the property passing the old water mill & back up to the church or continuing on to the lake. Not all of these areas are open all year round during planting season or a nesting period.

    We are planting further copses and an Orchard

    The Château: The Château de St Paul dates back to the early medieval period when it was originally a defensive Priory with its own Roman Style Church. The grounds are crossed by at least two Roman roads and the 12th century church has pre-Christian tombs dating back to the 4th century. It is quite possible that the site has been in use for more than 2000 years.

    The Château, its West wing and Tower and Hermitage have all been recently renovated to the highest standard.

    The Roman style Church has also been renovated with the roof and walls requiring major works after a July 2006 storm.

    The main heating system is 'Geo Thermal' and all the buildings have been renovated with conservation and ecology in mind. The swimming pool dimensions are 13x5m.

    The Grounds: The Château is set in its own estate and farmland bordered by two rivers. A recent tree/hedge planting program has been undertaken and land set aside with a spring fed lake being reinstated to encourage bird life.

    At present we have Kingfishers (one pair of new arrivals this year) nesting and feeding in two sites, Peregrine Falcon and Barn Owl in the church tower, along with many other species in the surrounding area.

    We are trying to encourage other wildlife to take up residence.. with particular emphasis on extra bat & swift, swallow nest sites. Though we already have a healthy population.

    The grounds & grass areas have many different species of wild flower,orchid & mushroom..

    Our wild field area has been a success with many birds, deer and hare using it for cover.. especially during winter.

    We have an extensive planting plan for this autumn, including trees, hedges, vineyard, orchard and lavender rows..

    Some of our planting is for offsetting our carbon footprint.

    Weddings, Events, Seminars, Theatre: With our own Church, Banquet Hall and gardens this is the ideal setting for a wedding.

    Ideal if you are looking for an Event base (music, theatre, collectors car meet) or a place for Seminars or music courses. Or a photographic or film location.

    The terraces and balconies are also ideal for a theatre or music event.. with the audience sat around the lake below..

    We can supply catering on site ourselves or liase with local catering specialists. (though not for weddings) we have a large open fire for spit roasting in the Old Kitchens and a 7ft barbeque built in to the inner courtyard.

    The Courtyard, areas around the Church, terraces or lake are ideal for displaying Vintage or Collectors Cars..

    Bedrooms:
    In all ten beautifully appointed Bedroom Suites.. some of which can be rented as Double Suites with adjoining doors or stairs. These may be ideal for families or friends.. The Tower suites all have En-Suite bathrooms and can be rented as a self-catered cottage. It has a full kitchen with dinning for 7 and a large lounge with a fireplace and two large sofa's. The Hermitage has four bedroom suites.. two each side of a very large central lounge area.. The Hermitage can also be rented as a Self Catered Unit.. it has a full kitchen with dinning for up to 20 and a large lounge with a fireplace and three large sofa's. Dinning for any number above the number stated for rental needs to be arrange in advance with us.

    Our B&B rooms feature a bath and a sink (2 sinks for the Amande bathroom).. the remaining 6 bedroom suites can be rented just as rooms for an event or if the conditions allow. Our two gites: La Tour has 3 bedroom suites 2 of them with showers, the other one with a bath. The Hermitage has 4 bedroom suites all with baths with shower over.

    Location Information: The Château de St Paul dates back to the early medieval period when it was originally a defensive Priory with its own Roman Style Church. Set in its own estate and farmland surrounded by extensive lawns, walks,a lake & an old mill pond. The ideal setting for a luxury wedding. The West wing and White Tower have all been recently renovated to the highest standard with six superbly appointed bedroom suites. Three suites in the White Tower with its lounge and three in the West Wing with its own Saloon, Grand Chimney room and bakery. The Château and Church with vast kitchen.. lounge & suites may be available to rent for special events/weddings, film/photography or theatre/music/seminars, yoga or meditation. The Bastide towns of Monflaquin, Villereal, Montpazier and Castillones are a short drive. Ideal for bird watching and nature lovers,presently we have Kingfishers nesting and feeding in two sites, Peregrine Falcon and Barn Owl in the church tower, along with many others.     "Superb superb superb!!!!!"

    What a fabulous find! The chateau was absolutely wonderful. Karine and Adrian have created a wonderful holiday destination and we cannot recommend enough how fantastic it was. The rooms were beautifully appointed - we stayed in the 3 bedroom gite - tour blanc - it was lovely, the bedrooms gorgeous, the kitchen as well equipped as mine at home and all the bits and pieces you need. The pool was fabulous, clean and just perfect size - our son spent 6 hours a day in it at least! The grounds are beautiful - karine didn't stop gardening the whole time we were there and Adrian was hard at work both working to improve - and they did this every day. Both available at any time for a chat but not intrusive. The B and B bit looked wonderful and karine a breakfasts made me up the quality in my holiday kitchen! There is also a four bedroom apartment there - also gorgeous! Cannot recommend enough - we will go back next year if we can! Are we related to karine and Adrian with such a great review, are we old friends....neither we are just very happy customers and hopefully new friends to them and to their wonderful home. Thank you both - we will be back!

Bar come Cafe.. and a beautifull space in the church to chill and listen to music by candel light in the evenings.. (already done and enjoyed by several clients).. with a glass of Cognac of course..     "Un excelent souvenir"

    Nous avons séjourné dans le Gîte du chateau Saint Paul. Nous avons un super souvenir de ce séjour : - Gite refait à neuf avec le charme de l'ancien. Superbe cuisine américaine dans la piece principale, type Loft. - Piscine très agréable, très bien sécurisée. - Endroit magnifique, au milieu des champs, dans une très belle vallée et dans une région à voir absolument. En 5 jours nous n'avons pas eu le temps de voir de nombreux villages aux alentours. Surtout, l'acceuil des hotes était très agréable, avec une flexibilité sur les formules et un acceuil pour les enfants particulièrement apprécié (nous étions avec 3 enfants entre 2 et 7 ans). Nous étions dans la tour, qui est au 1er étage avec terrasse. très pratique car toutes les pieces sont sur le meme étage. L'acces au gite se fait via un escalier externe, sécurisable à la demande pour les plus jeunes enfants. Nous y retournerons!
