Ideally placed in Funchal old town.

Spotlessly clean, modern, middle floor apartment right in the heart of old town of Funchal. Comfy bed with lots of spare bedding, pillows, towels etc. Helpful owner. Cleaner/keyholder lives in apartment above and speaks English. Well equipped with 'proper' cooker, fridge freezer, kettle and easy to operate and efficient washing machine. Easy walk to sea front and within easy walk of good selection of supermarkets, restaurants, shops, buses etc. Funchal appeared to be the best place on the island to stay but it's easy to travel about with a comprehensive bus service to all other parts of the island and opportunity for guided Levada walks, bus tours etc. No furniture on front balcony but we took chairs out from the kitchen and sat enjoying the late afternoon/early evening sun shining on the cable cars ascending to Monte. Hope to be back and would certainly recommend this apartment.

Great value

This apartment is in an ideal location to explore Funchal. Located very near to the old town and some really great restaurants. Neat, tidy and clean with all necessary facilities this one bedroom apartment was ideal for the two of us in a week long break in Madeira. The owners housekeeper met us at the airport and for a modest fee transferred us to the apartment and showed us in. Thereafter we found it ideal. Great value for money with excellent local amenities. It delivered everything it promised. the owner is friendly and very accommodating and flexible. Funchal is a beautiful and vibrant city with true character. Recommend a visit to Funchal and to this apartment.

Beautiful Madeira
