    Accessibility
    The apartment in the past has been let for a period of 3 months to a wheelchair bound guest, who found the facilities suitable for his needs including the bathrooms, Hand rails are fitted for use around the baths in both bathrooms and doors are wide enough to take a wheelchair.
    It must be pointed out to gain access from the apartment to the large sun terrace there is a small lip from the door frames to tackle.

    Outside
    One of the best and biggest outside Sun Terraces in the area, safe for children and totally enclosed - Two Large Dining Tables and reclining chairs for 6 including Table Umbrella.
    There are 2 Sun loungers to take advantage of the South facing terrace.
    Also for guests convenience are to large roll out blinds so you can dine in comfort - outside - but not in direct sunlight.
    For the beach there are also sand/beach chairs available, plus Beach Umbrella & Cold Box for your Drinks and Snacks to take with when sun-bathing away from the terrace on the beach or around the pool, which is only 100 meters away and has a large grass area surrounding it.

    About the area

    Coast/Beach
    The area the apartment and Tomas Maestre Marina is situated in is commonly known as the "La Manga Strip". A strip of land 22km long, jutting out into the Med and creating a natural border for the Mar Menor.
    There is 18 km of natural beaches and inlets along both sides of the Strip, with the Mar Menor's warm and shallow waters plus on the other side the Meds bleached beaches an incredible choice to have.

    Golf
    There is a par 3 - 9 hole course/pitch & putt facility within 10 minutes of the apartment near the top of the "La Manga Strip". For the "Real McCoy" The La Manga Club with its choice of 3 incredible courses is within 30 minutes plus within 40 minutes will be Roda great facility no older than 3 years. The Polaris World courses are 40 - 50 minutes away.

    How to get there
    An excellent choice of Low Cost Flights from the majority of UK Airports to the Two key Airports servicing the area. Murcia (San Javier) Airport is only 40 Km from Tomas Maestro Marina via two excellent dual carriageways or Alicante Airport which again is practically a straight run approximately, 75 Km.
    Should you not wish to hire a car, arrangements can be made to pick up from airports.
    Murcia Airport to La Manga -55 Euro one way/return 110 Euro.
    Alicante - 150 euro one way/Return 300 Euro.

    Distances
    A full information pack will be provided for guests booking the apartment containing information reference local and regional places of interest. This will also include a breakdown of the local market days within the region.
    Places of interest include the Regional capital of Murcia, which is one hour's run from the apartment. The historic port town of Cartagena is 35 minutes away and is a great place to find out and see the old Roman and Carthenian history of the area.

    Further Details
    Although the apartment overlooks the entrance to the marina, to walk onto the marina and enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the wonderful choice of dining takes approximately 20 minutes, and is a welcome relaxing stroll be it both in the summer or at any other time of the year. The apartment is on a regular bus route which for the full length of the la manga strip only costs 1 euro 50 cents. - and for the energetic new and well received in 2013 - free use of 2 x bikes. There is a modern large supermarket positioned only 200 metres from the apartment with an array of shops, another large supermarket, assortment of dining facilities on the way through to the marina and on the marina.

    "Wonderful apartment"

    We booked our holiday in this area as we are planning to move to Spain in the near future. The apartment was a welcome home from home, the view from the terrace spectacular and the facilities were second to none. Even the safe was free of charge. The apartment was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip but within easy reach if wanted. The boat trip across to the other side of the Mar Menor was delightful and the restaurants around the marina were brilliant. A welcome pack was provided for our arrival along with information on where to go and what to see. A brilliant holiday. Thank you so much and we will hopefully see you again next year. Xx

    "lovely holiday, comfortable apartment. "

    We had a lovely holiday in this comfortable well equipped and well maintained apartment. All the communication with the owner Mike Hare was very good. John and Caron in Spain were also extremely helpful and readily available if we needed them. We particularly enjoyed having the wifi, digital tv and the beach chairs! The large patio area was great to relax in, especially using the excellent garden furniture. Also a very well equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and washing machine. The area was lovely and quiet in April which gave us a very restful holiday. Fantastic beaches, and great places to eat in the Marina. Hiring a car made it easier for us to get around.

This really does tell the story as it is - great apartment, fully equipped with free wifi & large range of television channels, idea to watch, when the sun occasionally goes in - and when its out a huge sun terrace to take advantage of plus beautiful beaches on your doorstep. Quiet and restful, but not out of touch with easy access to some great dining choices with the Mar Menor as a stunning backdrop. Still one or two weeks left in 2014, but it is very limited - bookings already coming through for 2015. Don't be disappointed and reserve your "chill time" now at what has to be some of the best value rates on offer.

    "La Manga Appartment"

    We spent a week here in early April. The appartment is just as described and has everything you could possible need. It feels like a home from home. The sun patio is great for late sunbathing - at this time off year sun didnt get to patio until late morning, but was a great spot for sunsets! Would recommend taking the ferry from the marina to Santiago de la Ribera, also worth a trip to Cabo de Palos. Mike, the owner, provides a really useful list of things to do in the area after you have booked. We would recommend a car to get around and visit the area. We especially enjoyed Cartagena. Although there are restaurants around the marina it is a half hour walk each way. Alternatively there are many places to eat along the La Manga strip. Overall then, good customer service (appartment was clean and well presented when we arrived), good value considering the level of equipment provided and good views of the marina. Some of the local restuarants were not yet open at this time of year, but having a car , we didnt find this a big problem.

    A big THANK YOU to Simon an Jill for writing such a positive report on the apartment overlooking Tomas Mastre Marina. So pleased they found the apartment exactly what they wanted - and was able to serve all their needs. The marina starts to come into its own from Easter onwards, and it is a good walk around to the main hive of activity - however, when you are there for a relaxing time it is nice to amble along, especially when the main bridge lifts up (on the hour) and you can watch the boats coming and going from and into the Med via the Marina moorings. As stated by Simon, if you want more, and like to get out and about, a car is ideal, for all the great market days around the area, the fabulous historic port of Cartagena and some authentic style Spanish towns along the Costa Calida. The ferry is another adventure from the Marina over to the stunning beaches of Santiago de la Ribera, (Market Day Wednesday's) and is exceptionally good value. Some of you, still thinking of coming this year will be a little disappointed as there are very few dates left, but don't let that put you off 2015 which guests have already started to book for, so do not miss out on this great value apartment, by getting that "holding" deposit sorted now.

    Ola..and Welcome to our Little Oasis on the Costa Calida coastline overlooking the Mar Menor.

    My wife Jean, and I had always wanted a "Place in the Sun" and 10 years ago an opportunity arose for us to see that wish through.
    We immediately were attracted to the area by the convenience of a 2.5 hour flight, the cosiness of landing at a small but very efficient airport at San Javier - and more importantly the apartment, its positioning and the surroundings, it just felt right.

    We have tried to make each of our place's a "home from home" thinking about what would be the perfect place to stay in if we were having a break abroad - and hopefully over the years of us owning them, we would like to think we have done so.

    Why this location?

    We bought this 2 years prior to Marinesco 2 on the otherside of the Marina - but all for the same reasons. There really is not a better feeling than getting up in the morning, sliding open the doors, walking out onto a huge ground floor sun terrace, looking over and just seeing all shapes and sizes of boats and yachts literally passing your lounge window. It might be a little further to walk over to the marina, than Marinesco 2 which is virtually on the marina, but again what a lovely walk over the "swing bridge" stopping every now and again to watch the boats pass you by - coming and going from the Med and The Mar Menor.

    What are the unique benefits of the property?
