There is an off road parking facility for the apartment - Ramp Walkway to entrance and into landscaped gardens/pool area. Has a lift going directly to the apartment front door on the first floor. Both bathrooms are big enough for wheelchairs and have hand rails to assist in and out of the bath/shower. The apartment is wheelchair friendly, and guests however should note, there is a small lip to tackle from each internal area going onto the sun terrace.
A large south facing sun terrace/balcony is a great feature of the apartment, which overlooks private landscaped gardens and the best shared pool facilities on the "La Manga Strip". There are also two tennis courts available for the more energetic.
On the large sun terrace of the apartment featured are chair, tables plus a storage area in which is kept sand chairs for beach including beach umbrella. Also available to take to the beach - is a solid "cool box" great for storing drinks and food when going out for the day.
Important notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning in each of the bedrooms, and a full wind down/wind up blind is positioned above the sun terrace opposite the lounge which will shade this area from the strong sun during the day.

About the area
A 5 minute walk from the apartment with a choice of The Med or the stunning warm shallow seas of the Mar Menor.
Also there is 18 km of beaches on one side of the La Manga Strip with inlets throughout.
It will take approximately 10 minutes to get to the nearest 9 hole Par 3/Pitch and Put course at the top end of the "La Manga Strip" at Venazola.
For the serious player, La Manga's famous 3 golf courses on the exclusive La Manga Sports Club is approximately 30 minute drive. There are also clubs further along the main MU312 and AP7 at La Roda, Peraleja and Corvera, plus The Polaris World Golf Trail at at least 5 of its excellent courses created by Jack Nicolas. Green Fees start from approximately 30 euro with buggies from 20 euros.
How to get there
An excellent choice of Low Cost Flights from the majority of UK Airports to the Two key Airports servicing the area. Murcia (San Javier) Airport is only 40 kms from Tomas Mestro Marina via two excellent free flowing dual carriageways or Alicante Airport which again is practically a straight run approximately, 75 kms.
Region Capital of Murcia - 50 Km - AP7 approximately 45 minutes
Historical Port Town, Cartegena - 25 Km - MU312 & AP7 approximately 30 minutes. Various markets on 7 days per week.

Superb apartment, fully equipped and spacious!! with the under floor heating it was a welcome touch during the cooler evenings here at this time of year. The apartment is situated in a very nice area, the marina being just a short walk away. Supermarket nearby so easy for stocking up the cupboards for your stay. On arrival there was a welcome pack, so whatever time you arrive, you are able to make a cup of tea and a snack!! and it was included in the rental, unlike some others. First impressions were great, and the apartment certainly was worth every penny.It was quiet and relaxing, and just what the doctor ordered!!! I would recommend anyone who is looking to book in la manga, to seriously consider this apartment, as it represents excellent value for money from a very friendly and considerate owner.
Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers and romantic getaway

Ola..and Welcome to our Little Oasis on the Costa Calida coastline overlooking the Mar Menor.
My wife Jean, and I had always wanted a "Place in the Sun" and 10 years ago an opportunity arose for us to see that wish through.
We immediately were attracted to the area by the convenience of a 2.5 hour flight, the cosiness of landing at a small but very efficient airport at San Javier - and more importantly the apartment, its positioning and the surroundings, it just felt right.
We have tried to make each of our place's a "home from home" thinking about what would be the perfect place to stay in if we were having a break abroad - and hopefully over the years of us owning them, we would like to think we have done so.

Why this location?
Its was the thought of waking up each morning with that sun shining - opening up the double sliding doors/windows on any of the rooms, and walking out onto the full length balcony and thinking..."This is the life" looking out over the pools and the landscaped gardens. Shower, dressed for the sunshine and 5 minutes later, your on a beach with miles of golden sand looking out to the Med or the cosiness and privacy of the Mar Menor and its shallow warm waters. Every convenience is at your finger tips, large modern supermarket, some nice laid back bars, and an array of cosmopolitan restaurants all set against the back drop of sun, sea and a lovely marina.
